Barre, VT – Officials with Thunder Road Speedbowl are proud to announce the latest extension with longtime sponsor Northfield Savings Bank who’ve opted to extend their presentation of the Vermont Milk Bowl for three more years. Northfield Savings Bank first joined the Thunder Road family in 2012 before jumping on board to support the Vermont Milk Bowl in 2015 and looks to continue that presentation through 2028!

Northfield Savings Bank has been serving Vermonters for over 150 years and are proud to be the largest bank headquartered in the Green Mountain State with 14 offices serving over 35,000 customers. NSB prides themselves in their legacy of providing quick support to their customers with a focus on earning trust through capable, sincere and compassionate delivery of banking and financial services. At Northfield Savings Bank, it’s all about Vermonters supporting Vermonters by meeting financial goals for both personal and business banking needs.

The Vermont Milk Bowl was the brainchild of the late, great Ken Squier way back in 1962 as a three-segment, Monza-style event to wrap up the season in a big way. The Toughest Short Track Stock Car Race in North America has been just that ever since with some of the greatest heroes in Northeast racing taking the iconic Milk Can trophy and getting to kiss the cow in front of the packed Barre, Vermont crowd.

“Northfield Savings Bank is excited to continue our partnership with Thunder Road and the Vermont Milk Bowl for the next three years,” said NSB President and CEO Joe Bator. “This event is more than just a race; it’s a beloved tradition that brings our community together in a special way. We’re proud to support an event that celebrates the spirit and camaraderie of Central Vermont, and we’re looking forward to being part of this vibrant community tradition for years to come.”

“We’re very glad to have Northfield Savings Bank continue their partnership with this legendary event,” said Thunder Road managing partner Cris Michaud. “They’ve been an ecstatic partner since day one and they truly believe in the magic that is the Vermont Milk Bowl. We’re looking forward to a continued and exciting future with these great folks.”
