The program scheduled for Saturday, May 2 will feature the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Modifieds & Sportsman joined by the Keystone Sports Compact Series who are sponsored by Hoffman Speed Supplies in New Tripoli, Pa. This will be the first Saturday that the start time moves to 6:30 pm.

The show will include the usual slate of qualifying plus a full show for the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Sportsman.

It was another wild, competitive and exciting night of racing action last Saturday night at Grandview, and for the second straight week the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Modified feature was decided on the final lap at the finish line, with Duane Howard edging out Ryan Watt by a car length at the checkered to score his first win of the year, overall his 90th career 358 Modified victory at Grandview (counting Saturday NASCAR plus Thunder on the Hill Series wins).

The T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Modified point standings really changed after Saturday’s feature event except the top spot, where Eddie Strada stormed from 24th starting spot to finish seventh to maintain the top spot in the standings, while Rick Laubach raced from 22nd starting spot to finish the feature in ninth, enough to move him up four spots to second in the point race.

Jeff Strunk ended up having mechanical problems with his HBH ride during qualifying, and was fortunate to get a ride from Bobby Gunther Walsh who stepped out of his car to let Strunk compete, where Strunk finished the feature in seventeenth position, to keep Strunk third in the point standings.

Anthony Perrego also made a charge from 17th starting spot to finish eighth in the main event, moving him up four spots to sit fourth in points, while Brett Kressley overcame a pit stop for a flat tire and rallied to finish fifteenth, good enough to move him up two positions to fifth in the current point standings.
