(Butler Township, Pa. 5-24-26) With the unfortunate rain cancellations thus far there has been very limited racing taking place at Evergreen Raceway, with only one regular show to be exact.
So, in an effort to make up for the lack of all events track owner/promoter Jason Makarewicz is going to make this upcoming Saturday and Sunday, May 30 & 31 a “Doubleheader Weekend.”
On Saturday, May 30 things will get underway with an early paid practice from noon to 3:00 pm. The cost is $25 per car. Pit admission is $40 which will include that evening.
That same evening there will be a full card of racing action headlined by the Tour Type Modifieds along with the Rookie 602 Crate Modifieds, an Open Comp Four Cylinder (non-point race), the Rotten-and-Forgotten and McNulty Funeral Homes Four Cylinder Novice class.
Plus, during intermission there will be a Camera and Autograph session on the front straight with all drivers and their cars. The night will cap off with a Fireworks Show Presented by the Wire Guys of Hazle Township.
Pits open at 3:30 pm with warm-ups starting at 4:30 pm. Grandstands open at 4:00 pm. Pit admission is $40, all ages. For the grandstands it is $15 for adults and kids 12 and under admitted free of charge. Racing begins at 6:00 pm.
Sunday afternoon the track will be back at it with Camera & Autograph Day. During intermission all cars running that day will park on the front straight for the annual event that is always a popular attraction as fans get to meet all their favorite drivers up close and personal.
The line-up will consist of 602 Crate Modifieds, Late Models, Harry’s U-Pull-it Street Stocks, Himmer Graphics Four Cylinders, Rotten-and-Forgotten and the INEX East Coast Legends Series.
Grandstands open at 12:30 pm and racing begins at 2:00 pm. It will be $15 for adults and kids 12 and under are free.
Anyone who returns Sunday with a Saturday grandstand wristband will receive a $2 discount.
The pits open at 10:30 am. Warm-ups will start at 12:30 pm. Pit admission is $40 for all ages.
Also, everyone entering the grandstand on both days will receive a free ticket to Pocono Raceway for the Saturday, June 13 events which included the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series Miller Tech battery 250 Presented by KOA along with NASCAR Cup Series qualifying.
