BECHTELSVILLE, PA. – Double the action this Saturday Night!

Following four highly competitive weeks of racing action for the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Modifieds at Grandview Speedway, it will be double the action this Saturday night when the division competes in TWIN 25-lap feature events plus a full show for the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Sportsman!

The program on Saturday, May 9, under the NASCAR Local Racing Series Powered by O’Reilly Auto Parts banner, will include qualifying events for both classes leading into the Twin 25-lap T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Modified features and a 25-lap feature for the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Sportsman.

Pit gates will open at 3 pm, with grandstand gates opening at 4 pm, warm-ups starting at 5 pm, and the first race of the evening getting the green flag at 6 pm.

Adult grandstand admission is $25, students 10-15 with ID are $10, while children ages 9 and under are admitted free of charge. Pit admission is $35 for NASCAR members and $45 for non-members.

The weekend of racing at Grandview Speedway will see two events, with action beginning on Friday, May 8, as the Outlaw Racing Series Enduro and Vintage cars will be in action joined by the Keystone Sport Compact Series Four Cylinders starting at 7 pm.

On Friday night pit gates will open at 2 pm, and grandstand gates open at 5 pm. Grandstand admission is $10, children ages 12 and under are admitted free, while pit admission is $35 for the Friday event.

The first Thunder on the Hill Series event is set for Tuesday, May 19 (rain date May 20) featuring the Kyle Larson/Brad Sweet Interstate Batteries High Limit 410 Sprint Car Series. Advanced tickets can be ordered now at HIGHLIMITRACING.COM.   This event is presented by Levan Machine & Truck Equipment and RICH MAR Florist.   

On Tuesday, May 19, grandstand gates will open at 4:30 pm for Advance ticket holders, with general admission tickets going on sale at 5 pm at the main entrance.   Following opening ceremonies, heat race qualifying will take the green flag at 7:35 pm.  

An extra bonus has been posted for the 56th annual Firecracker 40 on Saturday, July 11 for the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Sportsman, as Roy Miller II of Keller Williams Real Estate will be sponsoring a Cash Dash with a payout of $500!

This past Saturday night saw Ryan Watt score his first T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Modified feature win of the season in an exciting race after a side-by-side battle with his son Logan in the late stages of the main event, leaving Ryan and Logan now sitting in the sixth and seventh position in the track’s point standings.

With a strong third place run, Eddie Strada remains on top of the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Modified point standings, while Rick Laubach charged forward from nineteenth starting spot to finish seventh in the feature event to remain second in points, while Jared Umbenahuer scored a fifth-place feature run and sits third in the points chase.

Brett Kressley and Jeff Strunk just missed a top ten feature run but hold down the fourth and fifth positions in the current point standings.

The T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Sportsman points see last year’s Champion Colin Cox back on top of the standings following a solid third place feature finish last Saturday night, while Jimmy Leiby has moved into second position in points following a sixteenth to fourth place run in Saturday night’s feature event, while Joe Toth picked up a ninth place feature result to hold down the third position in the current point standings.

Young first year driver Matthew Laubach picked up a sixth-place feature finish after starting from twenty first position to sit fourth in points, while Adrianna Delliponti just missed a top ten run, but holds down the fifth spot in the current point standings.
