EVANS MILLS, NY – Racing action returns to the Evans Mills Raceway Park this Saturday July 25th after a weekend off for Monster Trucks. The biggest race of the year for both four-cylinder divisions will highlight the night with the 4-Banger Nationals for the Stewart’s Shops Sport Compacts and Excess Storage Thunderstocks presented by Coca-Cola Beverages Northeast based in Watertown, NY. The two divisions will compete in separate 25-lap features with a pill draw and re-draw setting the lineups. Sport Compacts will compete for $500 to win and $100 to start. Thunderstocks will race for $300 to win and $100 to start.
Also featured on the night is agriculture and CDL Drivers Appreciation presented by Christman Fuel Service, the Tyler R. Christman Foundation, and Champlain Valley Equipment. Folks with a valid CDL will receive a free general admission ticket with proof at the box office. The midway will be filled with agriculture equipment from Champlain Valley Equipment and big rigs joining the CDL truck showcase.
Spectator Drag racing also returns to EMRP with a double elimination bracket tournament to roll off just before feature racing. Drivers must register at the box office with proof of insurance and a helmet before 5:45pm. There is an entry fee of $20 per car entered. Drivers will race 1v1 for 2-laps from a standing start.
All championship divisions will be competing including the Kinney Drugs Modifieds, Christman Fuel Service INEX Legends, LaFave Motor Sales Crown Vics, Stewart’s Shops Sport Compacts, and Excess Storage Thunderstocks.
