BACK TO THE 90’s NIGHT WITH JUST $10 GRANDSTAND ADMISSION IS SET FOR AUGUST 15

EDDIE STRADA & COLIN COX SIT ON TOP OF TIGHT CHASE FOR THE POINT CHAMPIONSHIP

BECHTELSVILLE, PA. – With an outstanding turnout this past Saturday, and a night of exciting racing competition, Grandview Speedway looks to repeat the process again this weekend with another program of action-packed racing.

This coming Saturday, August 1 will see a complete two-division program of T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment NASCAR Modifieds & Sportsman along with the Low-Down Throw Down One-on-one Modified Match races starting at 7:30 pm.

The one-on-one T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Modified match races presented by Low Down Entertainment, hosts of the weekly pre-race Meet & Greets, will see the top seven drivers in T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Modified points plus the three fastest cars timed through that evening’s hot lap session that are not in the top seven in points participating in the match races.

The overall winner will get a top prize of $500, plus additional prizes are available including an American Racer tire certificate, and a bottle of Inferno Armor.

Another bonus of $200 has been posted by Jimbo’s Exteriors for any driver that can go undefeated in the match races.

Sponsors for the Low-Down Throw Down include MB Roofing, Baer Den Farms, Stringers Collision Center, Hoffman Speed Supplies, Bear’s Inferno Armor, and American Racer. 

Pit gates will open at 4 pm, with grandstand gates opening at 5:30 pm, warm-ups starting at 6:15 pm, and the first race of the evening getting the green flag at 7:30 pm.

On Saturday adult grandstand admission is $20, students 10-15 with ID are $10, while children ages 9 and under are admitted free of charge. Pit admission is $35 for NASCAR members and $45 for non-members.

The program for the following Saturday, August 8 will feature the 56th annual Forrest Rogers Memorial T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment 50-lap Modified Championship which pays the winner $10,000, plus a full show for the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Sportsman starting at 7:30 pm. The Forrest Rogers Memorial carries a rain date of August 15.

Racing for Saturday, August 15 will be the rescheduled T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Back to the 90’s Night highlighted with just $10 grandstand admission for a complete program featuring the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Modifieds & Sportsman along with the Dave Smith Memorial for the Outlaw Racing Series Vintage cars and the rescheduled Kid’s Money scramble starting at 7:30 pm.

One important note – The Forrest Rogers Memorial carries a rain date of Saturday, August 15 and if needed the Back to the 90’s night will be removed from the schedule at that point to allow the Forrest Rogers Memorial to take place.

Jeff Strunk took home an exciting win in the 30-lap T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Modified feature last Saturday night after securing the lead on the final lap to score the win. With the win Strunk remains third in the points race behind point leader Eddie Strada who scored a ninth-place feature run to stay in the top spot, while Logan Watt picked up a twelfth place feature run to remain second in the point standings.

Rick Laubach scored a fourteenth-place feature result but remains fourth in points, while Anthony Perrego finished tenth last Saturday to sit fifth in the current point standings.

Brett Kressley – 1955, 13. Duane Howard – 1546, 14. Jax Yohn – 1227, 15. Ryan Grim – 1199.

The T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Sportsman ran just their second ever Twin 20-lap feature program in track history last Saturday, with Addison Meitzler grabbing his first win of the year in feature one, while Brett Grim scored his first career win at Grandview in feature number two.

Colin Cox remains the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Sportsman point leader by a scant four points after picking up a seventh place in the first Twin 20-lap feature but missed a top ten result in feature number two, while Joe Toth sits second in points after scoring a second and tenth place feature result in the twin main events.

Addison Meitzler is a close third in points after winning Twin 20 number one, however he just missed a top ten in the second main event, while Teague Miller moved up to fourth in points following a fourth and an eighth place feature result, with Jesse Landis fifth in the current standings following a tenth and a fifth place feature result last Saturday night.
