Wall Township, NJ – The second wave of honorees for Wall Stadium’s Hall of Fame Night on July 18 has been announced, with the inductees combining for dozens of track championships and hundreds of feature event victories throughout their careers. Headlining the on-track activity for Saturday, July 18th will be the NASCAR Modified Hall of Fame 100 which will pay $3,000 to win out of a total $15,000 purse.
Scheduled to attend at Wall Stadium on July 18th will be (in alphabetical order) Bernie Bailey, Chas Okerson, Dave Michel, Dick Barney, Eddie Bohn, Eric Mauriello, Frank Boardwick, George Andretta, Henry O’Neil, Jason Hearne, Jeff Carpenter, Jim Smith, Joe Mongeau, Ken Woolley Jr., Kevin Davison, Larry Patterson, Pete Brittain, Rich Mongeau, Robert Schlechtweg, Ron Frees, Shanon Mongeau and Shawna (Ingraham) Mauriello.
“We really thought outside the box with this, while we tried to get as many past drivers that we could. We also wanted to honor some of the people that have been at Wall Stadium forever and have been behind the scenes,” noted Wall Stadium Director of Racing Operations Pete Maletto.
Previously announced to be attendance were Charlie Kremer Jr., Deb Gastelu (on behalf of her husband Ray Gastelu), Derek Hopkinson, Doug Wolcott, Harold Dauncey, Harry Reed, Jimmy Blewett, Kenny Matlach, Kevin Eyres, Lenny Boyd, Lenny Sammons, Ray Liss, Ray Shea, Ryan Flores, Steve Barrick, Steven Reed, Tony Ferrante Jr., Tony Siscone and Tyler Truex.
Pit Gates will open at 1pm, with grandstand gates opening at 3pm on July 18th. The Hall of Fame reunion will begin at 4pm in the turn one section of grandstands. The autograph session will take place from 4:30-5:30pm prior to racing action getting started at 6pm. A special limited edition Hall of Fame autograph poster will be available to fans in attendance. Also, a number of Vintage Stock Cars will be on display throughout the night.
The NASCAR Modified Hall of Fame 100 will be the first feature event on the evening, also in competition will be the O’Shea’s Auto Repair Factory Stocks, Surf Side Collision 4-Cylinders and the ATQMRA TQ Midgets.
The 100-lap event will pay $3,000 to win, $1,500 for second, $1,200 for third, $1,000 for fourth and $900 for fifth. Sixth through 10th will pay $850, $800, $700, $600 and $550 with $300 offered up just for starting.
Adults (18+) are $30, Seniors (62+) and Military w/ID are $20, Children (7-17) are $15 with kids 6 and under being FREE! Pre-sale tickets are available on the Wall Stadium website.
Wall Stadium will come right back the following Saturday, July 25th featuring the NASCAR Modifieds, NASCAR Sportsman, Surf Side Collision 4-Cylinders and Natural Design Co. Legend Cars. The 4-Cylinders will also complete their feature event from June 6th.
Mark your calendars now as the Tour Type Modifieds will make an appearance on the Wall Stadium high-banks on Saturday night, August 29th with the John Blewett III Memorial 176 paying $7,600 to win and $760 to start!
