Modified Feature To Pay $7,600 To Win & $760 To Start; Beers, Hirschman, Newman & More Plan To Attend
Wall Township, NJ – The must-see event of the summer at Wall Stadium Speedway is set for Saturday, August 29, as the Tour-Type Modifieds invade the high banks for the John Blewett III Memorial 176.
The 176-lap Tour-Type Modified spectacular is expected to draw an all-star field of competitors from throughout the Northeast, with $7,600 going to the winner and $760 guaranteed to start the main event.
Leading the list of confirmed entries is defending NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour champion Austin Beers along with Matt Hirschman, who enters the event fresh off victories in both the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour and Race of Champions Series last week.
One driver that will be making his first ever appearance at Wall Stadium after competing on the SMART Modified Tour regularly over the past few seasons will be 2008 Daytona 500 champion Ryan Newman.
Trevor Catalano will make the trip aboard the Petty Cash Motorsports No. 85, while former Turkey Derby winners Timmy Solomito and Max Zachem will be among the visiting competitors. Ricky Collins and hometown favorite Jack Ely have also confirmed their attendance.
The visiting stars will have plenty of competition from the Wall Stadium regulars, including two-time winner Blake Barney, Garden State Classic winner Eddie McCarthy, July 11 winner James Blewett, and the always-fast Kyle Scisco.

Also on the August 29 racing card will be the NASCAR Sportsman, O’Shea’s Auto Repair Factory Stocks, and Natural Design Co. Legend Cars.
Teams looking for additional track time ahead of Saturday’s event will have the opportunity to participate in an Open Practice on Friday, August 28, from 3–7 p.m. All race teams are invited to take part in the session.
Camping will be permitted on the Speedway grounds beginning Thursday night, August 27. Teams competing in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour event at Stafford Motor Speedway the night before will receive a free pit pass for Saturday’s event at Wall Stadium.
Fans will have the opportunity to purchase a special John Blewett III Memorial 176 T-shirt, commemorating the highly anticipated event.
Adding even more incentive for the competitors, the winner of the John Blewett III Memorial 176 will receive a guaranteed starting position in the North-South Shootout at Caraway Speedway on November 6–7.
In the event of inclement weather, a special Sunday, August 30 rain date has been scheduled.
Should the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour event at Stafford Motor Speedway be postponed to Saturday, August 29 due to weather, the John Blewett III Memorial 176 will move to Sunday, August 30.
Pit gates will open at 1 p.m. on Saturday, August 29, with practice beginning at 3 p.m. Qualifying is scheduled for 5 p.m., with feature events getting underway at 6:30 p.m.
Tickets are on sale now at wall-stadium.com, Adult (18+) tickets will be $40, Seniors & Military w/ID will be $30, Kids (7-17) will be $20 with Kids 6 & under being FREE. Pit passes will be $45 with a NASCAR License and $55 without.
