SCHEDULE CHANGE FOR MID-ATLANTIC CHAMPIONSHIP, FRIDAY TO SUNDAY

GEORGETOWN, DE – Due to a significant storm predicted for Friday, Georgetown Speedway management has adjusted the schedule for the Mid-Atlantic Championship Weekend.

Rain, listed at 100-percent, is expected to arrive in the area overnight and remain in southern Delaware through late Friday night.

As a result, the following schedule changes have been implemented:

There will be no racing on Friday, October 29.

The Saturday, October 30 program will consist of the Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By Sunoco Modifieds (complete program), Super Late Models (complete program), STSS Crate 602 Sportsman (complete program) plus 12-lap features for the Little Lincolns, Delaware Super Trucks and Delmarva Chargers. 

Pit gates will open at 1 p.m. on Saturday. Grandstand gates unlock at 2 p.m. The pre-race Trick or Treat will take place at 3 p.m. The drivers’ meeting is set for 4 p.m. Hot laps hit the track at 4:30 p.m., with racing at 5:30 p.m.

Grandstand admission is $25 for Adults, $20 for Seniors (ages 65 and up) & Students (ages 13-17), $10 for Kids (ages 9-12) and Children 8 and under are FREE.

Pit admission is $40 (ages 13 and up), $10 for Kids (ages 6-12) and $2 for Children ages 5 and under.

Sunday, October 31 will feature the PA/NJ Spec Small-Block Modifieds (complete program) and RUSH Late Models (complete program) plus 12-lap features for the Southern Delaware Vintage Stock Cars, Delaware Super Trucks and Delmarva Chargers.

Pit gates will open at 1 p.m. on Sunday. Grandstand gates unlock at 2 p.m.  Drivers’ meeting is set for 2:45 p.m. with hot laps at 3:15 p.m. Racing gets underway at 4 p.m.

Pit admission is $35 (ages 13 and up), $10 for Kids (ages 6-12) and $2 for Children ages 5 and under.

Two-day passes will be available for both the grandstand and pit areas.

Grandstand weekend passes are $45 for Adults, $35 for Seniors (ages 65 and up) and Students (ages 13-17) and $15 for Kids (ages 9-12).

Pit area weekend passes cost $70 (ages 13 and up), $15 for Kids (ages 6-12), and $4 for Kids (ages 5 and under).

Georgetown Speedway, originally constructed by Melvin L. Joseph in 1949, is located at the intersection of Route 113 and Speedway Road in Georgetown, Del., just miles from the Delaware beaches and less than a 40-minute drive from Ocean City, Md.
