Oswego Eagles Fan Club Announces Season Kickoff Chicken BBQ Fundraiser on Saturday, May 18 at Lighthouse Lanes

OSWEGO, NY (April 25, 2024) – The Oswego Eagles Fan Club has announced that their 2024 Season Kickoff Chicken BBQ Fundraiser will be held on Saturday, May 18th, at 3pm at Lighthouse Lanes in Oswego.

The Eagles’ fundraiser will coincide with the first open practice session at the Speedway, which will run from 1 to 5 pm that afternoon. Grandstand admission is free for the open practice.

The Oswego Eagles Fan Club has long been dedicated to supporting the Supermodified, SBS, and 350 Super teams that race at Oswego Speedway, and as always, 100% of proceeds from the latest fundraising event will go directly into the 2024 driver’s point fund.

The 2024 Oswego Eagles Fan Club Season Kickoff Fundraiser will offer Chicken BBQ dinners for $15 each, including sides of salt potatoes, baked beans, and a roll. Several raffle prizes and lottery boards will be up for grabs as well.

The Oswego Eagles Fan Club is a volunteer-based, not-for-profit organization that was originally formed by a group of fans at Oswego Speedway. The intent and purpose of the Oswego Eagles Fan Club is to support the drivers and team owners who compete at the track each week. Since its inception, the Eagles Fan Club has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for local race teams.

The 2024 Oswego Eagles Fan Club board comprises President Marion Naramore along with officers Mike Foster, Michele Marr, Debbie White, Cherie Danzer, Tim Snyder, and Nicole Ferris.

Oswego Speedway’s 73rd season of racing will take the green flag on Saturday, May 25th, with the 75-lap Jim Shampine Memorial for Novelis Supermodifieds, 35-lap Tony White Memorial for Pathfinder Bank SBS, and a 30-lap Memorial Day Weekend special for J&S Paving 350 Supers serving as the lid lifters. 

Two open practice sessions will be held prior to the first event including on May 18th from 1 to 5pm, and May 24th from 6 to 10pm.
