WALPOLE, N.H. – Granite State Pro Stock Series officials announced on Friday nine confirmed races for the 2022 season. The confirmed schedule includes races at six different tracks – all in the state of New Hampshire – including two big money main events that will take place in the heat of the summer.

The nine-race schedule may be adjusted to include a maximum of three additional dates as the season approaches. Any additional dates would be announced as soon as they are available.

“We are confident that our schedule will allow a number of teams to have the chance to compete for the championship in 2022,” Mike Parks, president of the Granite State Pro Stock Series, said. “We’re looking forward to visiting some of the tracks we have been racing at for many years. These are staple tracks to our series and those that have supported us along the way. We’re excited to showcase our series to their dedicated fans for some exciting Pro Stock action.”

The 2022 season will open with a stop at Claremont Motorsports Park on Sunday, April 24. The Claremont, New Hampshire, oval produces some intense Pro Stock action with tight corners, as the spring stop will serve as the first of two visits to the track during the new year.

Following Claremont, Granite State Pro Stock Series teams will head to Epping, New Hampshire and Bobby Webber’s Star Speedway for the Hedges Excavating 100 on Saturday, May 7. Star continues to produce intense battles and thrilling finishes as ‘The Place To Race’ will hold one race towards the beginning – and one near the end – of the 2022 season.

The second and final race during the month of May will match the series up with the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour and additional divisions at Lee USA Speedway as part of May Madness on Saturday, May 21. As the Whelen Modified Tour returns to Lee, the Granite State Pro Stock Series will help fill a card that will attract fans from the entire Northeast.

The first and only stop at the high-banks of Monadnock Speedway is set for Saturday, June 18 – also joining the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour – as the Pro Stocks will compete in a special King’s Electric 75-lap race. The shorter style of event will force drivers to go full speed right from the drop of the green and should draw a strong contingent of competitors.

From one high-banked track to another, teams will compete at Riverside Speedway in Groveton, New Hampshire on Saturday, July 2, celebrating Independence Day in style around one of New England’s toughest tracks.

From the middle of July to the middle of August, back-to-back big money races will bring out the best of the best to chase the big check. At Lee USA Speedway on Friday, July 15, $10,000 is on the line in the second and final stop of the year to “New Hampshire’s Center of Speed.” On August 12, the annual Claremont summer stop will take place, worth $7,500 to win. Last year, Gabe Brown won his first career race in the Claremont special event en route to a championship season.

Hudson International Speedway will host the Granite State Pro Stock Series on Labor Day weekend, with a Sunday marquee event set for September 4.

As of this release, the champion will be crowned at Star Speedway as part of the annual Star Classic weekend on Friday, September 16. Over the last few years, the Star Classic has produced intense action to remember – including one of the most classic short-track Pro Stock battles in recent New England history between Derek Griffith and Joey Pole.

Specific information surrounding each event, and any additional dates, will be released when they are available. For more information on the Granite State Pro Stock Series, visit gspss.net and follow the series on social media via Facebook, Instagram and Twitter for the latest news and updates.
