HOLTSVILLE, N.Y. – One year after winning at Jennerstown Speedway on Memorial Day weekend, Justin Bonsignore is heading back to Pennsylvania for round five of the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour season this weekend.

Bonsignore will compete in the Jennerstown Salutes event – where NASCAR and JDV Productions have partnered with Operation Vet NOW Inc. to honor fallen heroes and Gold Star families for the second straight year. Last season, Bonsignore carried the name of Air Force Staff Sergeant David Weiger to Victory Lane with him and celebrated post-race with the Weiger family during Memorial Day weekend.

In three career starts at Jennerstown, Bonsignore has two wins and a fifth-place finish. In all three races, the three-time NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour champion won the Mayhew Tools pole award. For 2022, Bonsignore will carry the name of Navy Petty Officer Third Class Robert Gilbertson on the roof of the No. 51 Phoenix Communications machine for the 150-lap event.

“I’m looking forward to getting out to Jennerstown, it’s a great area of our country and one we have enjoyed the last few years,” Bonsignore said. “This event is a special one with everything NASCAR and JDV Productions are doing to honor fallen heroes and Gold Star Families. Winning the Jennerstown Salutes race last year was an honor. We remember all of those who have served, and those who continue to serve our country, to allow us to do what we do.”

Saturday’s race day schedule at Jennerstown includes one NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour practice session from 2:30-3:30 p.m., followed by Mayhew Tools single-car qualifying at 4:45 p.m. The green flag for the Jennerstown Salutes 150 is scheduled to drop at 8 p.m. For those who are in the area, tickets will be available at the track, but are also available in advance at JDVProductions.com. The race will also air live on FloRacing.TV.
