WEST HAVEN, VT – Roaring into the Green Mountain State
Vermont will become the 10th different state to host the Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By Sunoco this Sunday, June 19.
Mike Bruno’s Devil’s Bowl Speedway in West Haven, Vt., will be the hot spot in the Green Mountain State on Father’s Day with the inaugural ‘Slate Valley 50’ paying $10,000 to the winner for the STSS Modifieds.
Devil’s Bowl Speedway will be the 29th venue visited by STSS when engines roar to life for the ‘Slate Valley 50’.
The event serves as Round No. 5 – the halfway point – of the River Valley Builders North Region $15,000 championship chase.
Matt Sheppard of Savannah, N.Y., holds a 27-point edge over Danny Creeden entering the Devil’s Bowl event.
The STSS big-block/small-block Modifieds chase the $10,000 top prize at Devil’s Bowl, the first of two consecutive $10,000-to-win features on the North Region tour. The race also pays $1,000 for 10th and $500 to take the green flag.
Joining the STSS Modifieds will be the Devil’s Bowl Speedway Sportsman, Limited Sportsman, and Mini Stocks.
