HOLTSVILLE, N.Y. – Three-time NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour champion Justin Bonsignore is heading to Oswego Speedway this Saturday night. Bonsignore will compete in the Toyota Budweiser Modified Classic 150 as part of Classic weekend at the historic New York oval, with just four races remaining in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour season.
Bonsignore sits fourth in the championship standings heading for the stretch run and will be focused on capturing the checkered flag in Saturday’s main event. In his career at Oswego, Bonsignore has top-five finishes in all but one of his starts, including a victory in 2019.
A trip across his home state to celebrate Labor Day is on deck.
“Oswego is a tough place,” Bonsignore said. “But we’ve had success there before with our Phoenix Communications team and we’re looking forward to heading back there this weekend. Racing at Oswego on Classic weekend makes it one of the top events of our season. The Classic is such a well-known event and to have the Whelen Modified Tour there just makes it even more special.”
The race day schedule for the Toyota Budweiser Modified Classic 150 begins with final practice from 2-3 p.m., followed by Mayhew Tools pole qualifying at 4:30 p.m. The drop of the green flag for the main event is slated for 7:30 p.m., live on FloRacing.TV, for those who can’t make it to the track.
