WHITINSVILLE, Mass. – For the final time in 2022, Matt Galko will strap in behind the wheel for Stan Mertz Racing this weekend at Seekonk Speedway. Set to compete in the Haunted Hundred – a 100-lap race with the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series – Galko will drive the Koopman Lumber No. 6 chasing a $6,000 winning prize.
Throughout the 2022 season, the Mertz Racing team has shown plenty of speed with Galko driving, specifically at Stafford Motor Speedway. As they head to Massachusetts, they are hoping to finish the season on a high note.
“I’m super excited to get to Seekonk with the team this weekend,” Galko said. “Seekonk is one of my favorite tracks on the circuit and I think we can ride off some of the momentum from our podium finish at the NAPA Fall Final at Stafford. We’ve been knocking on the door all year to score a win and I think we will be a threat come feature time on Saturday.”
Advance tickets for the Haunted Hundred are available online in advance at SeekonkSpeedway.com and will also be available at the track on race day. The event also includes the American-Canadian Tour for 100 laps and a $2,000 to win, 30-lap INEX Legends Cars race. Action begins at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 22.
