Barre, VT — As the newly-minted Mighty Mini Stock Series is gearing up for their world debut at North Carolina’s Hickory Motor Speedway, an exciting new element has been added by a long-time supporter. The Twin 50-lap events for these four-cylinder masters are set to be a showdown between Northeast invaders and Southern warriors defending their home turf. The driver who earns the lowest combined total points after Friday, March 17th’s St. Patrick’s Day 50 and Saturday, March 18th’s Easter Bunny 50 will be crowned ‘King of the Mini Stocks’ at Hickory Motor Speedway alongside the American-Canadian Tour and Pro All Stars Series.

Thanks to the effort of Berlin, New Hampshire’s Kids Only Day Care and Cody LeBlanc Racing, the all-new King of the Mini Stocks Challenge features a bonus purse of $500 for the top three in Challenge points on top of the individual event purses. At the conclusion of the two Mighty Mini events at Hickory Motor Speedway in March, the newly-crowned ‘King’ will take home a $250 bonus with second in Challenge standings taking $150 and third-overall will earn an extra $100.

Should one lucky Mighty Mini Stock or Carolina Mini-Stock Challenge driver sweep both the St. Patrick’s Day and Easter Bunny events to claim their title as King of the Mini Stocks, that driver could pocket a combined $1,750 to start their season on a high note.

“When ACT came out with the Mighty Minis and the twin races at Hickory, I knew we’d have to bring back the King of the Mini Stocks between the Northern guys and the Southern teams,” said Jean LeBlanc. “Jane (LeBlanc) wanted to send out her retirement with one last big show after supporting racing and the kids of New Hampshire’s North Country for over thirty years with Kids Only Day Care. Crowning the King of the Mini Stocks will be the icing on the cake!”

“The LeBlanc’s have been instrumental in getting the Mini Late Model class started at White Mountain last summer and have been extremely helpful with getting the Mighty Minis off the ground,” said ACT managing partner Cris Michaud. “When Jean and Jane came to me with the King of the Mini Stocks idea, it was a no-brainer. I’m looking forward to seeing how the Northern guys fare down South.”

The Northern Stars of the American-Canadian Tour, Pro All Stars Series and the Mighty Minis head South on Friday, March 17th and Saturday, March 18th for a double-dose of stock car racing action at the famed Hickory Motor Speedway in Hickory, North Carolina. Although the St. Patrick’s Day and Easter Bunny events are non-point for the ACT Tour and Mighty Mini Stock Series, the PASS Super Late Models kick-start their 2023 season at ‘the Birthplace of the NASCAR Stars’ as Massachusetts’s Ryan Kuhn prepares to defend his 2022 title.
