N. Woodstock, NH — This Saturday, July 8th is a crucial point for the White Mountain Motorsports Park track championship divisions with Double Points on the line for Midseason Championship night. All six divisions will be on track for an action-packed night on the White Mountain high banks as drivers look to solidify their standing and push themselves to the top to ride the year out in style.
Kasey Beattie continues to post a commanding lead over his fellow Foley Oil & Propane Late Models. A resounding comeback following an early wreck in last week’s feature event, Beattie powered back up through the field to claim a runner-up finish to invader Ryan Olsen. While his closest competitor Stacy Cahoon posted a fourth-place finish, defending champion Quinny Welch came back from a mid-race caution to claim tenth, dragging him 61-points back. While Cahoon, Welch and Mike Jurkowski hope to capitalize on double points night, Beattie looks to his uncanny consistency to stay at the top and ride out the season en route to his first King of the Mountain track championship!
Brandon Gray has held command over the Fisher Auto Parts Flying Tigers since the first event, having just won his fifth-straight Tiger feature last Saturday. John Donahue, Gray’s closest competition, sits within striking distance just 24 points down and looks to take his first win of the season where it can count the most this Saturday night.
The Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank Strictly Stock Minis are having the points race of the year by far. Defending champion Chris Moulton just passed three-time 2023 winner Kristian Switser through his winning performance last Saturday to claim the point lead. Not to be discounted, Todd Derrington and Tyler Thompson have been sneakily consistent in the popular four-cylinder division and may just find themselves at the top come Saturday night.
The Ammonoosuc Asphalt Mini Late Models and Wayne’s Market Dwarf Cars also return to White Mountain for Midseason Championships on July 8th. Desmond Skillings currently holds a five-point lead over defending champion Nick Anderson as they roll into the Matt Clay Memorial with bonus money on the line while Dave Gyger took charge over Jason Wyman in the Dwarf Cars last time out.
The Dad’s 4 By Tool & Supply Kid’s Division will also be back in action after hosting their largest car count of the season over the Independence Day weekend. Logan Farnsworth became the first two-time winner of the season among the youngsters with the new crop getting better and better each week.
Thunder returns to the Mountains for the Midseason Championships on Saturday, July 8th! With Double Points on the line in all divisions, it’s a crucial summer showdown in the championship chase.
