N. Woodstock, NH — One of the Northeast’s highest growing events in stock car racing will continue with a popular headline sponsor in 2024. The Midsummer Classic 250 for the American-Canadian Tour returns for a seventh consecutive year this August with continued headline sponsorship from Milton CAT as the much anticipated one-day event being circled on many calendars across the region.
After debuting in 2018 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of White Mountain Motorsports Park with a big money, extra distance Late Model event, the American-Canadian Tour has kept on the tradition over the past six years with drivers from across New England and Quebec making the trek to New Hampshire’s Favorite Short Track each August. Such highly acclaimed New England short trackers as Eddie MacDonald, Wayne Helliwell Jr. and D.J. Shaw have taken the $10,000 paycheck while Jesse Switser stunned the crowd last summer to come from the Last Chance Qualifier and become the first White Mountain regular to claim the track’s marquee event!
Milton CAT jumped on board in 2022 to help champion the growing annual event, continuing their support for 2024. Milton CAT has locations in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, New York, Massachusetts and Rhode Island, each of them fully equipped with the industry knowledge, products and support to help you complete any project. Milton CAT is your complete source for Caterpillar machines, engines, generators, technology, parts and service in the Northeast.
“We’re glad to continue our successful partnership with Milton CAT,” said WMMP and ACT managing partner Cris Michaud. “Like us, Milton CAT is a major stakeholder in their industry here in New England and we’re very excited to keep working with them to continue the growth of this ever-exciting event.”
The 7th annual Milton CAT Midsummer Classic 250 is set for Saturday, August 3 at the scenic White Mountain Motorsports Park in North Woodstock, New Hampshire. The $10,000-to-win, 250 lap event has become both a fan and driver favorite for the American-Canadian Tour faithful along with track championship action for the Fisher Auto Parts Flying Tigers, Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank Strictly Minis and the Dad’s 4 By Tool & Supply Kids Division.
Thunder in the Mountains returns for the 2024 season on HK Powersports Opening Day, Saturday, May 18 with the Late Models, Strictly Minis, Dwarf Cars, Kids Division, Mini Late Models and the R&R Street Stock Open Series! Opening weekend also features the Pro All Stars Series doubleheader on Sunday, May 19 that includes the first leg of the all-new ACT Tri-State Flying Tiger Series, New England Supermodified Series and PASS Modifieds!
