AUBURN, NH; Mike Netishen is set to make his Novelis Supermodified rookie debut in 2024 at the Oswego Speedway. Netishen, the owner and driver at Mike Netishen Motorsports has had a Hawk Chassis prepped by Joe Hawksby Jr of Hawk Jr Fabrication & Design in Oswego which will be numbered 55. Jimmy D’s Speed & Machine of Syracuse, NY will be providing the big block Chevy power. Netishen plans to make his rookie debut with the Novelis Supers on May 25th at the tracks season opening Jim Shampine Memorial 75. Additionally Netishen plans to run multiple Little Webb’s 350 Super races, select dirt midget races and select NESS and ISMA-MSS events throughout 2024.

The 2014 ISMA Rookie of the Year and former Star Speedway 350 Super Champion has been mainly focused on USAC DMA midget and 360 sprint car racing over the past few seasons, but that’s about to change. “Ive always enjoyed the Novelis big block supers and have been wanting to run them at Oswego for years”, said Netishen. The plan is to run five times with the Novelis Supermodifieds, which includes the tracks marquee event the 68th Annual Budweiser International Classic 200 on Labor Day weekend.

“The Oswego Challenge Series Races and high profile, higher paying supermodified races throughout the country with NESS and ISMA-MSS has rejuvenated my interest with the big blocks supers and it feels as though it’s the right time to return”, said Netishen. “It will be my first time running Oswego without a top wing so we understand there will be a learning curve, we will take the knowledge we gain throughout the year and apply it to our classic effort on labor day weekend” said Netishen.

Seven Little Webb’s 350 Super events are also on the 2024 MNM schedule. “I’m looking forward to returning to racing on Hoosier tires with Little Webb’s and building off of our 2023 350 Super success which included a win at Hudson and fast time at Claremont”, said Netishen. The team is also planning to put the top wing on the Hawk Chassis for the NESS Star Classic on September 14th and a trip to North Carolina’s Caraway Speedway for the 10k to win North South Shootout with ISMA-MSS on November 7th and 8th. Dirt midgets at New Hampshire’s Legion Speedway and competing at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway Dirt Duels in June will complete a diverse 2024 event calendar.
