Another family fun night is lined up for Saturday evening at Riverhead Raceway as the first School Bus Figure Eight race of 2025 headlines the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series program. The Figure Eight intersection will be a busy place with School Buses crossing over the “X” as well the TK Figure Eight class who’ll run their second 15-lap event of the new season.

Over the years the sight, and at times sounds of the huge 13-ton machines navigating the tight confines of the quarter mile Figure Eight course have provided both competitors and those looking on from the stands with plenty of thrills & spills. Among the entrants for the School Bus Figure Eight race are Frank “The Tank” Dumicich Jr. of East Quogue, a championship contender in the Super Pro Truck ranks. Joining Frank will be Late Model competitor “The Z-Man” Ryan Zukowski of Riverhead, Street Stock veteran Chris Lescenski also from Riverhead and popular INEX Legend Race car personality “V-Ride” Mike Van Houten Jr. of Jamesport.

Prior to the wild and wooly bus race the NASCAR Modifieds return for their second 50-lap contest of ’25 as opening night winner Chris Young of Calverton looking to back-up his opening night triumph. It is rumored Young is also seeking a bus ride of his own as a former winner of that event. Scott Pedersen of Shirley will also look to repeat his opening night win in the 15-lap TK Figure Eight event, with Sean Glennon of Northport looking to do the same in the 20-lap Super Pro Truck contest.

Completing another program of wall-to-wall excitement are the Street Stocks with Brian Brown of Calverton leading the charge fresh off his May Meltdown win May 4th, with former Mini Stock champion Paul Wojcik of Patchogue looking to repeat in their 20-lap tilt. The oval racing will conclude with a 4/6-Cylinder Enduro, race distance to be determined by entries. Chris Olivari of Coram took the lid-lifter May 4th.

General admission gates open at 4:00 pm, qualifying is slated to start at 5:15 pm with opening ceremonies at 6:00 pm. The first event of the busy evening will commence after opening ceremonies as the popular JuiceBox Racers will hit the track for their opening race of the year.

Adult admission is $30, kids 6-12 $20, 5 & under free. Please visit ww.riverehadraceway.com for further details and the complete 2025 race schedule. Emails reach the track at office@riverheadraceway.com, out phone number is 631-842-RACE.
