Barre, VT – After officially kicking off the 2025 season last Sunday, Thunder Road is back in action this Sunday with the rain-delayed 27th Community Bank 150 for the Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour. The Nation’s Site of Excitement is once again poised to welcome race fans teams from across New England and Quebec as the Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour continues their 2025 season.
Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour regulars Gabe Brown, Erick Sands, Jesse Switser and Tanner Woodard took the Memorial Day Classic opportunity to get some laps down ahead of this Sunday’s Community Bank 150. Defending King of the Road Kaiden Fisher also got a start to his title defense last Sunday but looks to better his standings in the regional Milton CAT Tour this Sunday at his Thunder Road home track!
With the track championship chase full speed ahead, it was a pair of former track champions who stole the show on Sunday. Sam Caron made his early season mark in the Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tigers and leads the standings ahead of Kevin Streeter and last year’s top rookie Logan Farrell but a pair of champions in Brendan Moodie and Mike Martin sit dangerously close behind. We’ll have to wait and see the handicap shake-up for this week but expect another early-season drive to the front for the Flying Tiger veterans.
Another former champ got his season off to the right start with Johnson’s Jamie Davis taking down the opening day rk Miles Street Stock win over ‘Flyin Fred Fleury and defending track champion Dean Switser Jr. While the veterans rose to the top, an incredible six rookies got the start to their season on Sunday with Hayden Bushey currently leading former Road Warrior standout Keegan Tabor by just one point on the freshman standings.
As always, the Burnett Scrap Metals Road Warriors never fail to put on a show and Sunday’s opener was no exception with several pilots driving from the back to the front, some more than once! Cayden Green snuck through to take the opening day trophy dash and will look to drive up through to make it back-to-back on Sunday while all Thunder Road classes look ahead to the start of Thursday Night Racing on June 5!
Thunder Road Int’l Speedbowl is ready to roar again this Sunday, June 1 for the rain-postponed Community Bank 150 with the Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour. The Maplefields/Irving Late Models are set to fight hard against the Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour travel teams alongside the Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tigers, rk Miles Street Stocks and Burnett Scrap Metals Road Warriors with a 2:00pm Post Time. Grandstands open at 11:00am, Adult General Admission will be on sale for $30, kids 12-6 for $10 and, as always, children 5 and under free!
Don’t look now but the Nation’s Site of Excitement is back for world-famous Thursday Night Racing next Thursday, June 5 with McGee Hyundai of Barre night with the New England Supermodified Series and a 7:00pm Post Time. Mark your calendars!
