NORTH WILKESBORO, N.C. (May 14, 2025) – The upcoming Window World 100, the zMAX CARS Tour Late Model Stock Car race at North Wilkesboro Speedway, will serve as a platform to support continuing relief efforts for children and their families impacted by Hurricane Helene.
Scheduled for Friday, May 16 at 8:00 p.m. during NASCAR All-Star Race Week, the Window World 100 will be broadcast live on both FS1 and FloRacing. NASCAR Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt Jr. and former NASCAR Cup Series champion and FOX NASCAR analyst Kevin Harvick will be in the FS1 broadcast booth alongside play-by-play announcer Eric Brennan to lend their voices to the call for support during this first-time event for the zMAX CARS Tour on a national cable TV channel. FOX NASCAR reporter Kaitlyn Vincie and Blake McCandless will report from pit road.
Hurricane Helene struck the North Carolina mountains on Sept. 27, 2024, with devasting wind and record-breaking rainfall causing catastrophic damage across many counties. North Wilkesboro Speedway served as a regional hub for storm relief last fall, collecting and distributing more than 400 pallets of food, water, hygiene products and other essentials to areas across Western N.C. According to the N.C. Department of Health and Human Services, there are 107 verified N.C. fatalities to date related to the storm.
Nonprofits in the region continue to support impacted families with efforts to provide food and housing, as well as educational games, toys and programs for children who were displaced for long periods of time from schools.
Donations to relief efforts through the North Wilkesboro chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities can be made at www.speedwaycharities.org during the Window World 100 broadcast. SCC will accept grant applications from nonprofits in the N.C. mountains that continue to support children impacted by Helene.
“We’re proud to sponsor the Window World 100 at North Wilkesboro Speedway—not just for the thrill of racing, but for the opportunity to give back to a community that means so much to us,” said Tammy Whitworth, CEO of Window World and trustee for Speedway Children’s Charities. “As a national company based in North Wilkesboro, we are committed to standing with our neighbors and helping those affected by Hurricane Helene recover and rebuild.”
In addition to serving as entitlement sponsor of the May 17 Window World 250 NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series race, Window World expanded their partnership with North Wilkesboro Speedway by sponsoring the Friday night zMAX CARS Tour event. One of the premier late model touring series in the country, the zMAX CARS Tour Late Model Stock Car division features up-and-coming stars such as Connor Hall, Kaden Honeycutt, Layne Riggs, Jared Fryar and others competing at short tracks around the region.
The Window World 100 will follow NASCAR Cup Series practice and qualifying, including the Pit Crew Challenge, on Friday evening.
The 2025 NASCAR All-Star Race will feature more on-track action than ever before. In addition to all the NASCAR Cup Series activity, fans can enjoy zMAX CARS Tour feature races with Pro Late Models on Thursday (The Reverend Whiskey 75) and Late Model Stock Cars on Friday (Window World 100), along with the Window World 250 NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series race and a Jake Owen concert presented by Raymer Oil on the frontstretch Saturday.
