(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Speedway returned to feature racing action with the Limited Late Model division taking center stage with the Riley Generators Limited Late Model 30 on Friday, July 25th.  Jason Lafayette was the big winner of the night, scoring his first Limited Late Model win at Stafford in the biggest race of the season.  Lafayette’s victory also scored him a generator courtesy of Dan Riley and Riley Generators.  Alexander Pearl was a first time winner in the SK Modified® feature after a tight duel with Steven Chapman and Wesley Prucker, Chris Meyer was a first time 2025 winner in the Late Model feature, Nick Anglace was a first time 2025 winner in the SK Light feature, and Aaron Plemons won for the fourth time this season in the Street Stock feature.

In the Riley Generators Limited Late Model 30 feature event, Adrien Paradis, III took the early lead with Jeremy Lavoie, Jason Lafayette, Matt Clement, and RJ Surdell all lined up behind him.  Lavoie took a look to the inside of Paradis on lap-3 but couldn’t make a pass.  Lavoie was able to make a move for the lead on the following lap and he powered his way past Paradis in turn 4 to take over the lead.  Lafayette followed Lavoie by Paradis to take second and Clement took third.  Surdell took fourth on lap-6 to drop Paradis back to fifth after leading the first three laps of the race.

With 10 laps complete, it was still Lavoie in the lead with Lafayette right behind him in second.  Matt Clement was third with Surdell fourth and Kevin Cormier up to fifth.  Devon Jencik spun in turn 1 to bring the caution flag out with 12 laps complete.

The field completed one lap with Lavoie back in the lead before the caution came back out for Surdell, who spun coming down the frontstretch while behind him, Gary Patnode had a near spin coming out of turn 4.

The restart saw Cormier spin in turn 3 and collect the cars of Rich Hammann and Samantha Dell to bring the yellow flag back out before a lap could be completed.

Lafayette took over the race lead back under green with Lavoie slotting into second.  Matt Clement was still third with Hamman back up to fourth and Matthew Winter, II up to fifth.  With 10 laps to go the order was still the same with Lafayette leading Lavoie, Clement, Hammann, and Winter.  Gary Patnode spun coming down the frontstretch to bring the caution flag out with 20 laps complete.

Lafayette took the lead on the restart with Clement taking second.  Kyle Theriault worked his way into third with Winter fourth and Lavoie falling back to fifth.  Dell spun in turn 4 to bring the caution back out with 22 laps complete.

Lafayette took the lead on the next restart with Theriault taking second.  As Theriault was taking second, Winter  and Clement touched which sent Clement up the track and into turn 2 wall to bring the caution back out with 23 laps complete.

A melee erupted on the restart with Cormier going 3-wide with Theriault and Lafayette and Cormier taking the lead.  Lafayette fell back several spots but when the cars hit turn 3, Theriault and Cormier touched with Cormier going around to bring the caution flag out.  Because the field never completed a lap, Lafayette was able to restart back in the lead.

Lafayette took the lead with Hammann taking second.  Darryl Vertefeuille spun in turn 3 as did Jason Raymond to bring the caution flag back out with 25 laps complete.

Lafayette took the lead back under green with Travis Hydar moving into second.  Hammann was third with Surdell fourth and Lavoie fifth.  Hydar was applying heavy pressure to Lafayette for the lead but Lafayette was able to maintain the lead.  Hydar couldn’t get close enough to Lafayette to make a bid for the lead as Lafayette took down the checkered flag for his first win of the 2025 season.  Hydar finished second with Hammann, Surdell, and Lavoie rounding out the top-5.

In the 40-lap SK Modified® feature event, Wesley Prucker took the early race lead with Cory DiMatteo, Todd Owen, Alexander Pearl, and Steven Chapman behind him.  The caution flag came out with 2 laps complete for David Flammia, who spun coming out of turn 4.

Prucker streaked into the lead back under green with Chapman and Owen going wheel to wheel for second.  DiMatteo was fourth in line with Pearl fifth.  Chapman took second on lap-5 with Owen slotting into third.  Chapman was looking to take the lead from Prucker on lap-8 but Prucker was able to maintain the lead.  Chapman was able to finally make a pass and take over the lead on lap-11.  DiMatteo was still third with Pearl taking fourth from Owen on lap-12.  Dylan Izzo and David Arute got together in turn 3 to bring the caution flag out with 14 laps complete.

Chapman took the lead back under green with Prucker applying heavy pressure from second.  DiMatteo was third in line with Owen fourth and Keith Rocco was up to fifth.  Rocco took fourth from Owen on lap-19 and that allowed Pear to also get by Owen to take fifth and drop Owen back to sixth place.  Rocco and DiMatteo got together in the middle of turns 1+2 to bring the caution flag back out with 22 laps complete.

Chapman took the lead on the restart with Prucker in second.  Pearl moved up to third with Tyler Chapman up to fourth and Jon Puleo fifth.  Puleo took fourth from Tyler Chapman on lap-28 and now Michael Christopher, Jr. was looking to get around Tyler Chapman in the fight for fifth place.  Steven Chapman was still leading the race with Pearl hot on his trail in second and Prucker in third with 9 laps to go.

Puleo took third from Prucker on lap-32 and Christopher took fifth on lap-33 while Pearl was looking for a way around Steven Chapman for the lead.  Dylan Izzo spun in turn 3 to bring the caution back out with 35 laps complete.

Steven Chapman took the lead on the restart with Pearl in second.  Art Caruso spun in turn 3 to bring the caution flag out with 36 laps complete.

Steven Chapman held off a charge from Pearl on the restart to take the lead but Caruso came to a stop after getting into the frontstretch wall to bring the caution flag back out with 37 laps complete.

Pearl used a huge run of momentum to take the lead on the restart but the caution came back out after one lap was completed for several cars in turn 4, with DiMatteo coming away with heavy damage to his car after Owen climbed up and over his car and Izzo was also collected with heavy damage to the right front of his car.

Pearl took the lead on the restart while Prucker and Steven Chapman were side by side behind him.  Pearl was able to hold off both Prucker and Chapman on the final lap to score his first career SK Modified® feature victory at Stafford.  Chapman nipped Prucker at the line for second with Tyler Chapman and Puleo rounding out the top-5.  Following post-race inspection, Prucker’s car was found to exceed the maximum left side weight and he was disqualified from the feature finish.  This moved Tyler Chapman up to third, Puleo to fourth and Troy Talman to fifth.

In the 30-lap Late Model feature event, Tom Fearn and Chris Meyer ran two laps door to door before Fearn got clear into the lead on lap-3.  Darrell Keane took second from Meyer on lap-3 with Meyer settling into third.  Fearn and Keane made contact coming out of turn 2, which slowed both cars enough to allow Meyer to charge into the lead.  Fearn recovered in second with Keane third.  Andrew Durand was fourth and Tom Butler was up to fifth.  Adon Burrell spun in turn 2 to bring the caution flag out with 8 laps complete.

Meyer took the lead back under green with Tom Fearn, Durand, Keane, and Butler lined up behind him.  Paul Varricchio, Jr. was up to sixth followed by Kevin Gambacorta, Alexandra Fearn, Bryan Narducci, and Bobby Stirk, III.  Durand made a move to the inside of Tom Fearn for second on lap-15 and he was able to take the position.  Durand’s pass opened the door for Varricchio to move into third, Gambacorta fourth, and Keane fifth as Tom Fearn fell back to seventh place, right behind Alexandra Fearn.

Varricchio took second from Durand on lap-19 while Meyer had pulled out to a lead of nearly 3 seconds.  Varricchio slowly started to chip away at that gap and with 6 laps to go, Varricchio had cut the gap to Meyer in half.  Gambacorta was third with Durand and Keane making up the top-5.  Gambacorta took a hard hit into the turn 3 wall to bring the caution out with 28 laps complete.

Meyer streaked into the lead and he led the field to the checkered flag while behind him Durand spun on the final lap in turn 3 in front of the field, which scrambled the race to the checkered flag that saw Bobby Stirk come through to finish second, Narducci third, Tom Fearn fourth, and Chris Buffone fifth.  Post-race inspection found Stirk’s car to have an illegal carburetor and he was disqualified, moving Narducci to second, Tom Fearn to third, Buffone to fourth, and Keane to fifth.

In the 20-lap SK Light feature event, Josh Morrison took the early lead from pole position.  Casey Vogt and Ron Midford, Jr. ran several laps wheel to wheel before Vogt got clear into second place on lap-3.  Midford took third behind Vogt with Matt Brewer fourth and Stephen Kalogiannis fifth.  Vogt made a move to the inside of Morrison on lap-6 with Morrison still in the lead by a nose at the line.  Vogt was able to complete the pass on lap-7 with Midford moving into second.  Brewer squeezed his way into third on lap-9 with Amanda West moving into fourth to drop Kalogiannis back to fifth.  Carsten Cole spun in the middle of turns 1+2 to bring the caution flag out with 10 laps complete.

Vogt took the lead back under green with Brewer and Nick Anglace dueling for second.  Sophya Papp spun in turn 2 to bring the caution flag back out with 12 laps complete.

Vogt, Nick Anglace, and Midford briefly went 3-wide fighting for the lead with Anglace emerging in the lead, Vogt second, and Midford third.  The field could only complete one more lap before the caution came back out for Bill Anderson and Papp, who came together and spun on the frontstretch.

Anglace took the lead on the restart with Midford taking second.  Vogt was third with West in fourth and Brewer in fifth.  The caution flag came back out once again after one lap was completed for a multi-car spin in turn 4 involving the cars of Chris Matthews, Cassandra Cole, Josh Morrison, and Robert Bloxsom, III.

Anglace took the lead on the next restart with Midford taking second.  Vogt was third with West fourth and Dean Lambros up to fifth.  Dylan Houghton spun in the middle of turns 1+2 to bring the caution back out with 16 laps complete.

Anglace again took the lead with Vogt going wheel to wheel with Midford for second.  West was fourth with Lambros still in fifth.  Vogt worked his way in front of Midford for second on lap-19 but no one could catch Anglace as he led the field to the checkered flag.  Vogt finished second with West, Midford, and Lambros rounding out the top-5.

In the 20-lap Street Stock feature event, Alex Spinnato led the field to the green flag and he took the early lead with Marvin Minkler moving into second behind him.  Bill Cote was third with Jeff Asselin fourth and Jason Raymond up to fifth.  Tyler Trott spun in turn 2 to bring the caution flag out with 3 laps complete.

The lap-4 restart saw Cote go 3-wide to move into second before taking the lead from Minkler one lap after the restart.  Raymond was now second behind Cote with Kolton Gambacorta third, Bert Ouellette fourth and Aaron Plemons fifth.  Minkler slid from the lead back to sixth place and he continued to slide backwards in the outside lane as Brent Glearson took sixth, Brandon Warren seventh, and PJ Evans eighth.  Raymond and Cote touched battling for the lead with both cars spinning coming out of turn 2, which brought the caution flag back out with 7 laps complete.  This put Gambacorta our front for the restart with Ouellette next to him in second.

Gambacorta took the lead back under green with Plemons taking second.  Ouellette was third with Gleason, Warren, and PJ Evans lined up behind him.  With 13 laps complete, it was still Gambacorta out front with Plemons glued to his back bumper in second.  Ouellette was still third with Evans fourth and Gleason fifth.  Travis Downey was sixth with Warren, Minkler, Asselin, and Trott making up the top-10.

Plemons made a move to the inside of Gambacorta on lap-17 and he was able to take the lead with 3 laps to go.  Ouellette was now right behind Gambacorta in a 3-car train fighting for the lead.  Alex Spinnato spun in turn 2 to bring the caution flag out with 18 laps complete and set up a green white checkered finish.

Plemons took the lead on the restart with Ouellette taking second from Gambacorta.  Downey worked his way up to fourth with Gleason fifth but behind them Raymond spun in turn 4 along with Pete Cayer and several other cars to bring the caution back out and set up another green white checkered finish.

Plemons took the lead on the restart but Ouellette went around in front of the field in turn 2 to bring the caution flag out and set up a third attempt at a green white checkered finish.

Plemons again took the lead with Downey moving into second.  Gambacorta was third in line with Gleason and Warren fighting door to door for fourth place.  Plemons led the field to the checkered flag to pick up his fourth win of the 2025 season.  Downey finished second with Gambcorta, Gleason, and Evans rounding out the top-5.
