N. Woodstock, NH — White Mountain Motorsports Park is back in action this Saturday night in North Woodstock, New Hampshire following last week’s annual off-weekend for the Oxford 250. All six track championship divisions return to the highbanks along with the annual Mini Late Model Special on Ammonoosuc Asphalt Night.
The Ammonoosuc Asphalt Mini Late Models have had a trying year with defending track champion Nick Miller standing poised to go back-to-back in 2025. Officials have opened up the rules to allow outside Mini Stock competitors in for this Saturday’s annual Special as well as the rest of the season with just three events left on the schedule. While segment racing has been the name of the game this summer, Saturday’s Mini Late Model Special format is a straight 50 lap charge, meaning the more the merrier this Saturday night.
The 1764 Sports Bar & Grill Late Models continue to be in the clutches of nine-time champion Quinny Welch even as Welch continues to hunt for his first win of the season. St. Johnsbury, Vermont’s Kasey Beattie continues to trail as he hunts for a new ride to chase down Welch with just three points-paying races to go while Jaden Perry, Mike ‘Beetle’ Bailey, Mike Jurkowski, Reilly Lanphear and Thomas Smithers VI are also among the top-ten looking for win #1.
The other multi-time track champion who is also leading the points AND still in search of his first win of the season is Barton’s Shane Sicard atop the Fisher Auto Parts Flying Tigers. Sicard has kept his head above water to lead the standings nearly all year while making quite a few stops in the victory lane podium but has yet to take the gold. Meanwhile, Logan Powers has gotten closer in the title chase, proving again and again his long-run capabilities while going from back to the front in the closing laps week after week.
Littleton, New Hampshire’s Tyler Thompson has a shaky nine-point lead over Waterford, Vermont’s McKenna Merchant in the Bar Harbor Bank & Trust Strictly Mini Standings. It’s a four-driver dance atop the standings with Danville’s Jacob Roy and Littleton’s Donnie Baumgardner also ready to shake up the championship chase with four events remaining this season in the track’s tightest championship battle.
The White Mountain Dwarf Cars and the Dad’s 4 By Tool & Supply Kids Division also join the fun to complete the six division Saturday night card. All the Dwarf Cars are chasing multi-time champion Jason Wyman while the Kids have seen four first-time winners this season and are looking to crown number five!
