(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Speedway has released its full 2026 racing schedule, featuring 23 events from April through October. The 2026 schedule combines Stafford’s cornerstone traditions with fan-favorite events and the much-anticipated return of the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour.
“Each year we work to deliver a schedule that focuses on strong weekly racing while giving fans something new to get excited about,” said Paul Arute, Stafford Speedway COO. “The 2026 schedule continues that focus, filled with special events, family nights, and some of the best weekly short track racing in the country.”
The season kicks off with NAPA Auto Parts Opening Day on Saturday, April 25th, followed by the 54th Annual NAPA Spring Sizzler® on Sunday, April 26th — continuing one of short track racing’s most historic weekends. The Open Modifieds will highlight the weekend with The Greatest Race in the History of Spring, the 100 lap NAPA Spring Sizzler®. New for 2026, the Granite State Pro Stock series will join the racing card on NAPA Opening day.
Weekly racing will return each Friday night beginning in May and run through NAPA Champions Night in early October. Headlined by the SK Modified® division, Stafford’s weekly racing program includes the Late Model, SK Light Modified, Limited Late Model, and Street Stock divisions each week.
“Our weekly competitors are the backbone of Stafford Speedway,” continued Arute. “Every Friday night, the best short track racers in the region put on a show that rivals any touring series. The competition is as tight as it gets, championships come down to the final event of the season, and every lap matters. Our weekly racers are the heart and soul of this place; their dedication, passion, and talent are what make Stafford so special. Stay tuned for some more exciting announcements for our weekly racers in the coming weeks.”
Other schedule highlights include the Monaco Modified Series making 2 stops at the half-mile; Wednesday, July 15th for the 3rd annual GAF Roofing Modified Masters and again on September 26th for the NAPA Auto Parts Fall Final. The SK Modified® division will run 3 extra distance races in 2026 including the Casella Waste 80, Call Before You Dig Senators Cup, and the 13th running of the NAPA Auto Parts SK 5K.
