(Butler Township, Pa. 1-31-26) 2026 is shaping up to be a very active season at Evergreen Raceway, starting on Saturday, March 28 with a $1000-to-win 4/6-Cylinder Enduro Presented by The Wire Guys of Hazle Township and then following a brief break, it’s nonstop on-track action from mid-April and all the way through to mid-November.
Just prior to April’s racing, on Saturday, April 11, the track will be hosting a community-wide event featuring an Everything Swap Meet/Yard Sale, Food Truck Frenzy and the popular Circle Track Racing Experience.
“We had every intent to have this event last year buy Mother Nature had other plans and spoiled what was looking to be a pretty cool day,” said track owner/promoter Jason Makarewicz.
“But we never gave up on the idea and so we’re going to be back at again this year. We want to make this something unique and special for everyone around the area. You’ll be able to sell and buy, taste some great food and while you here take a ride or even drive one of our specially prepared stock cars.”
Starting at 11:00 am and running until 4:00 pm, interested parties are welcome to obtain a spot and bring out any goods, be it racing related or household items or whatever they would like to sell.
“Think of this as a big flea market and it’s perfect for spring cleaning,” said Makarewicz.
Also, on the grounds that day will be several area and regional Food Truck vendors who have signed up to bring their delicacies to all in attendance.
“Last year we had several Food Truck vendors coming in and it was all shaping up to be an impressive display until rain ended it all. We’ve been reaching out to most of them to come back and even a few new ones,” added Makarewicz.
And in between all the buying, selling and eating, folks will be able to get on track with the Evergreen Raceway Circle Track Racing Experience. This is a choice to either drive or ride in authentic stock cars, which include a Modified or Late Model.
“There is no other track throughout the region that offers fans the opportunity to get seated in a real stock car, Modified or Late Model, and make competitive laps on a paved short track oval. There will also be the option of getting a ride in one of the popular Drift cars,” said Makarewicz.
It is advised to make an appointment for the Circle Track Racing Experience, however, for this event walk-ups will be accepted.
To drive the Modified, it is $15 per lap while the Late Model is $10 per lap. For those wishing to do the ride-along the cost is $50 and is for a designated number of laps.

There is free admission throughout the day on Saturday to come out and enjoy all the activities.
Evergreen Raceway, a 1/3-mile paved oval in St. Johns, Butler Township, Luzerne County, hosts motorsports events from February to November, making it a top entertainment choice in Northeast Pennsylvania.
