Thompson, CT — Twisted Tea, and their parent company Boston Beer Company, have continued their longstanding support of the American-Canadian Tour (ACT) and Pro All Stars Series (PASS) efforts at Thompson Speedway once again in 2026. Wednesday, July 8th brings the fan-favorite New England Supermodified Series (NESS) back to the Thompson highbanks to help ring in America’s 250th birthday with a roaring thunder.
The midweek July 8th event will see the New England Supermodified Series back at Thompson Speedway for the first of two events at the 5/8-mile, highbanked oval in 2026. At October’s Sunoco World Series, Jon McKennedy drove for a top-speed of just over 132 miles-per-hour, making the NESS Supermodifieds the fastest division on the schedule this year by far!
These winged warriors will be joined by the Thompson Sunoco Modifieds, Late Models, SK Light Modifieds, Street Stocks and Thunderstock Crown Vics because what better way to celebrate America than with a great night of short track racing and some Twisted Tea?! The fan-favorite brand will also be on hand with a taste-testing tent on the midway complete with tons of giveaways and more!
The agreement continues a partnership that first began back in 2020. Boston Beer Company sponsored three divisions at the 58th Sunoco World Series of Speedway Racing, continuing as a summer series partner over the last five years, setting the stage for this year’s return. As part of the agreement, Boston Beer Company products will continue to be sold in the Thompson Speedway concession area for fans of legal drinking age.
“It’s great to have Twisted Tea and the Boston Beer Company continue to partner with us and Thompson Speedway,” said PASS marketing director Kevin Varney. “They’ve been a fantastic partner since Tom (Mayberry) and Cris (Michaud) first took on Thompson and it’s going to be a great celebration on July 8th.”
Thompson Speedway continues to sign on new and returning partners for the upcoming season, including remaining track championship divisions, events and billboard sponsorships.
