- The NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour season resumes on Saturday, May 2 with the running of the All States
Materials Group 150 at Maine’s Oxford Plains Speedway. It marks just the sixth time the NASCAR Whelen
Modified Tour has competed at the track. - The All States Materials Group 150 is the first NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour event at Oxford Plains
Speedway in nearly 35 years. The last series event at Oxford Plains Speedway was held on June 23, 1991
and was won by Jeff Fuller. - In addition to Fuller, other NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour winners at Oxford Plains Speedway include Richie
Evans, Jimmy Spencer and Mike McLaughlin. Spencer is the only two-time winner in Modified Tour
competition at Oxford Plains. - Stephen Kopcik enters Saturday’s event as the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour points leader following back-
to-back victories at Martinsville Speedway and Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park. It is the first time in his career that he has led the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour standings. - Stephen Kopcik’s victories at Martinsville and Thompson made him just the second driver in NASCAR
Whelen Modified Tour history to win his first and second career races in consecutive events. Rick Fuller was
the first to do it in 1988 when he scored his first and second victories in consecutive events at Orange County
Speedway and Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park. - Only a handful of active NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour competitors have ever raced at Oxford Plains. They
include Jon McKennedy and Matt Hirschman, each of whom have earned wins at Oxford Plains Speedway
during their respective careers. - Reigning NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour champion Austin Beers carries a streak of 33 consecutive top 10
finishes into Saturday’s event at Oxford Plains Speedway. It is the longest such streak in series history. - Anthony Nocella is scheduled to make his first NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour start of the season Saturday.
He will drive the No. 17 Modified owned by Michele Davini at Oxford Plains Speedway.
