SEALMASTER 100 MOVED TO SATURDAY, JULY 18
THUNDER IN THE HILLS 100 MOVED TO SATURDAY, AUGUST 8
– Race Programs Adjusted Due to Scheduling Conflict Created by Weather-Related Changes –
Holland, NY (June 20, 2026) – Race of Champions, Holland Speedway and SealMaster management have made the difficult decision to adjust portions of the 2026 Holland Speedway schedule due to a scheduling conflict created by weather-related changes involving another touring series.
The SealMaster 100, originally scheduled for Saturday, August 8, will now take place on Saturday, July 18 and will feature the Race of Champions Sportsman Modified Series. As previously announced, the top-two finishers in the Race of Champions Sportsman Modified Series feature will earn positions in the redraw challenge for the prestigious George Decker Memorial.
Also appearing on the July 18 program will be the Race of Champions Tru Caliber Feirme LTD Late Models, Race of Champions Street Stocks and the Race of Champions FOAR SCORE Four Cylinder Dash Series.
The Thunder in the Hills 100 for the Race of Champions Modified Series, originally scheduled for Saturday, July 18, will now be contested on Saturday, August 8. The event will feature the Race of Champions Modified Series in a 100-lap battle along with the Race of Champions Street Stocks, FOAR SCORE Four Cylinder Dash Series and the WNY Mighty TQ Midgets.
“We need to thank the management at SealMaster first and foremost for their willingness to be flexible with this event,” stated Joe Skotnicki of Race of Champions. “This is not something Race of Champions or Holland Speedway wanted to do. However, with the best interests of the fans, competitors and our commitment to presenting the highest quality Modified racing possible in our region, this became the best available option.”
“The adjustment became necessary after another series was forced to make a weather-related schedule change. Unfortunately, we learned of the change through social media rather than direct communication. While that was not ideal, we worked diligently with Holland Speedway and SealMaster to find a solution that would provide competitors with the greatest opportunity to participate while preserving the quality of both events.”
“We recognize that schedule changes are never perfect and can create challenges for everyone involved. This certainly threw us a curveball, but we believe this adjustment ultimately provides the best opportunity for strong car counts, competitive racing and an outstanding experience for our fans.”
Additional event details, race schedules and promotional information for both events will be released in the coming weeks through Race of Champions and Holland Speedway communication channels.
