EVANS MILLS, NY – This Saturday July 11th, the Evans Mills Raceway Park will be celebrating Christmas Miracle Night with local partners Whitesboro Plow Shop in Watertown and Wolff’s Body Shop with a prestigious race for the Christman Fuel Service INEX Legends.
The night will feature a Christmas gift raffle for kids nine years old and under with gifts donated by race teams, partners, and fans. Upon entering the facility, kids will be asked their age to be entered into the raffle for a gift. Generous gift donors must bring a new toy/gift wrapped or bagged and labeled with the age the gift would be appropriate for. If the gift is tailored more towards a boy, girl, or either please mark this on the wrapping. Christmas music will be played throughout the night while displays from Northern Lights glow in the midway.
The Christman Fuel Service INEX Legends will compete in the annual Kevin Ward Jr. Legacy Race which is also the first of two scheduled INEX National Qualifier events. The Kevin Ward Jr. Scholarship Fund has graciously posted $1,313 for the winner, rivaling the payout of the INEX Asphalt Nationals. A special bonus from the KWJr. Scholarship Fund of $113 is also on the line for the 13th place car on lap 13. The total feature will run a distance of 40 laps around the 3/8th mile. The INEX Legends will also have a dedicated 30 minute practice session before all other divisions.
Top finishing drivers in four divisions (Young Lions, Semi-Pro, Pro, and Masters) will earn an automatic bid to the Asphalt Nationals hosted at Dillon Motor Speedway in the fall.
The Kinney Drugs Modifieds will run a 35-lap feature instead of Twin 25s to assist efforts to complete the program at a good time.
All other championship divisions will join the action including the LaFave Motor Sales Crown Vics, Stewart’s Shops Sport Compacts, and Excess Storage Thunderstocks.

The Kevin Ward Jr. Scholarship Fund raises money with annual events like the Kevin Ward Jr. Go Kart Race and Chicken BBQs to award a student at South Lewis Central School a scholarship to continue their future education. This year’s recipient is Nior. Ward family members’ businesses also support the event including Westward Painting Co. and Herring Log Home Restoration.
Kylar Judware, a student in the Automotive Technology program at the Howard G. Sackett BOCES school also won this year’s Kevin Ward Jr. Scholarship presented by EMRP.
Fans in the grandstands will be decorated in orange swag provided by EMRP to help kick off the start of the INEX Legends feature.
Pits will open at 3:00pm and General Admission will open at 5:00pm.
