BACK TO THE 90’s NIGHT WITH $10 GRANDSTAND ADMISSION IS AUGUST 15
BECHTELSVILLE, PA. – Following another action packed night of racing last Saturday night, the action will be even more intense this week as Grandview Speedway presents the 56th running of the Forrest Rogers Memorial.
Since the 1971 racing season Grandview Speedway management has annually been paying tribute to Forrest Rogers, the man who had the dream of building his own racetrack, then with the help of his son Bruce and the rest of the family, made the dream come true in building and operating the racetrack on the hill in Bechtelsville, Pa. known to all as Grandview Speedway.
This Saturday, August 8 will feature the much anticipated 56th annual Forrest Rogers Memorial for the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment NASCAR Modifieds who will be racing a 50-lap feature paying $10,000 to win! This race program will also include the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment NASCAR Sportsman in another NASCAR Local Racing Series Powered by O’Reilly Auto Parts double-header starting at 7:30 pm.
Adult grandstand admission is $30, students 10-15 with ID are $15, while children ages 9 and under are admitted free of charge. Pit admission is $35 for NASCAR members and $45 for non-members.
Pit gates will open at 4 pm. with grandstand gates opening at 5:30 pm. warm-ups starting at 6:15 pm. and the first race of the evening getting the green flag at 7:30 pm. August 15 is the rain date if needed for the Forrest Rogers Memorial.
Saturday’s program will be the final in a series of race events recorded and produced by ATVN-TV. The Astound TV Network (ATVN) will be recording the race events this Saturday, with the race event broadcast to be shown on a tape-delayed basis. The heat races will be a complete program shown on the following Tuesday night at 7:30 pm. The features will air the following Friday evening at 7 pm. with further replays to follow.
The following week on Saturday, August 15 racing will be sponsored by T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment, and feature Back to the Nineties Night, with grandstand admission rolled back to 1990’s pricing at just $10 for a complete program of T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Modifieds & Sportsman along with the Outlaw Racing Series Vintage cars starting at 7:30 pm.
This past Saturday night saw Brett Kressley break through with his first win of the year in the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Modified feature, securing the lead late in the feature after a brief battle with Ron Haring Jr., to become the season’s tenth different winner in the division.
Eddie Strada scored a seventh place feature finish to remain on top of the point championship chase, while Jeff Strunk scored a late race third place finish to move up to second spot in the point standings.
Logan Watt had a tough night and missed a top ten finish but now sits third in points, while Louden Reimert picked up a sixth place feature finish to move up to fourth spot in points, with Anthony Perrego making a late race charge to score an eighth place feature finish and now sits fifth in the current standings.

The T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Sportsman feature saw Alex Bartorillo score his first win of the season and second career victory after a late race challenge from Brad Brightbill, to become the eleventh different winner in T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Sportsman competition.
Joe Toth scored an eighth place feature result to move into the number one spot in the point standings, while Colin Cox overcame early night mechanical troubles to charge from twenty-fourth starting spot to a tenth place feature result, however slid back to second in the point standings just 23 markers behind leader Toth.
Addison Meitzler just missed a top ten feature finish after restarting at the tail end of the feature after an early race pit stop, but still sits third in points, while Jesse Landis also missed a top ten run but still moved up to fourth in the current standings, with Decker Swinehart taking over the fifth spot in points following a fine fifth place feature finish.
