WINCHESTER, N.H. – Sam Rameau and the Rameau Family Motorsports team finished the weekend with two top-five finishes. On Friday, June 17, Rameau finished third in the Claremont Motorsports Park Whitcomb 5 Series event, and on Sunday, in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour race at Monadnock Speedway, Rameau finished a solid fourth.
On Sunday, Rameau ran consistently inside the top-10 for the duration of the Duel at the Dog 200, then charged inside the top-five in the final laps to score a successful finish in a difficult field. The finish was his best career in 30 career Whelen Modified Tour races – his first top-five effort.
“It was a good weekend for us,” Rameau said. “I hate to say it, but I feel like we should have won both races, but that is just racing. It was a great effort by our whole team with a really fun weekend of racing now in the books. We will take next weekend off and get ready for the next one.”
Sam Rameau and the Rameau Family Motorsports team will return to the track with the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series on Wednesday, June 29 for the annual Open Wheel Wednesday at Seekonk Speedway, worth $10,000 to win.
