MILLSBORO, DE – Plenty of dramatic moments and high-paying events remain in 2022 for the Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By Sunoco.
That doesn’t mean it is too early to plan for 2023.
STSS management has set its February 2023 calendar, with stops planned at Lake View Motor Speedway in Nichols, S.C., and All-Tech Raceway in Lake City, Fla.
An inaugural visit for the series to Lake View, a facility promoted by Northeast transplants Scott Tripp and Tim Clemons, is first up en route to Florida Thursday-Saturday Feb. 2-4 titled the Pop Hahn’s South Carolina Speedweeks.
The STSS big-block/small-block Modifieds, a Lake View debut, and STSS Crate 602 Sportsman will tackle the red clay oval located off Interstate 95.
The weekend kicks off with an Open Practice on Thursday (Feb. 2) followed by longer-distance, fully paid Qualifying Races on Friday (Feb. 3). A Driver Appreciation Party/Bonfire takes place after the Friday events.
Saturday (Feb. 4) brings Last Chance Qualifiers followed by a 30-lap, $5,000-to-win, $500-to-start STSS Modified main and 30-lap $2,000-to-win, $200-to-start Crate 602 Sportsman event.
A Sunday (Feb. 5) rain date is in place for this event.
The Crate 602 Sportsman have competed at Lake View previously under a different sanctioning body, but 2023 will bring the powerful big-block/small-block Modifieds to the track for the first time ever.
