STSS OFF THIS WEEKEND AT BRIDGEPORT, OCFS UP NEXT

BRIDGEPORT, NJ – With two days of forecasted rain during the upcoming days and outside factors, the Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By Sunoco has withdrawn from this weekend’s ’60 Over Special’ at Bridgeport Motorsports Park.

The decision was announced late Thursday.  Bridgeport will go on with the event, unsanctioned, weather permitting on Sunday.

The series hopes to return to Bridgeport for its scheduled Sunday, July 9 date.

The Short Track Super Series returns to action on Saturday, April 8 at N.Y.’s Orange County Fair Speedway with the ‘Hard Clay Open’ to kick off the ‘Elite’ program and the first round of the River Valley Builders North Region. The 50-lap event pays $12,000 to win, $2,000 for 10th and $1,000 to take the green flag.
