FONDA & VERNON, NY –
One week. Two huge events.

The Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By Sunoco shifts into high gear with two huge events: the ‘Firecracker 50’ at Fonda Speedway on Monday, July 12 and the ‘Richie Evans Remembered 61’ at Utica-Rome Speedway on Thursday, July 20.

Monday, July 17 brings a $10,000-to-win, 50-lap STSS Modified event as part of the River Valley Builders North Region to the Track of Champions. The event, which pays $1,000 for 10th and $500 to start, offers River Valley Builders North Region points toward the $15,000 championship.

Joining the STSS Modifieds at Fonda are the Precision Hydraulic & Oil STSS Crate 602 Sportsman battling for Precision Hydraulic & Oil North Region points in a 25-lap main paying $2,000 to win.

Scenic View Campground & Picture Perfect Pools partner to present the Firecracker 50 event in its fifth running.

The Fonda event includes a Tuesday, July 18 rain date.

The event had been scheduled for July 2 but was postponed due to rain.

After 50 laps at the Track of Champions on Monday, the STSS contingent ventures one hour west on the New York State Thruway to the ‘Home of Heroes’ Utica-Rome Speedway on Thursday, July 20.

The 61-lap STSS Modified battle offers $6,100 to the winner and $610 to take the green in memory and honor of iconic Richie Evans and his trademark No. 61.

$2,061 awaits the STSS Crate 602 Sportsman winner for a 30-lap event.

Like Fonda, River Valley Builders North Region points and Precision Hydraulic & Oil North Region points are on the line for the STSS Modifieds and STSS Crate 602 Sportsman, respectively.

Broedel Fuel Group and Recovery Sports Grill of Verona pair up to present the ‘Richie Evans Remembered’ event.

With the STSS Modifieds and Crate 602 Sportsman on the half-mile, the inner oval will be in use for the Allstar Slingshots and Junior Slingshots.

Event information for both events is live on the STSS website: https://shorttracksuperseries.com/event-info/

Both events will be broadcast live on FloRacing (www.floracing.tv) via the $150 annual subscription.
