David Gravel announced Thursday evening that he and Big Game Motorsports plan to return to the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series in 2024 to chase their first Series title.

It will mark his 12th full season on the World of Outlaws tour and fourth straight year with Big Game Motorsports.

“We’re going to be back on the World of Outlaws tour next year,” Gravel said on his YouTube channel. “What’s really important to me and Tod Quiring and Big Game Motorsports is winning that World of Outlaws championship. It’s really important and it is a very prestigious thing. It’s where we want to be right now…

“I want to get to 100 wins. That’s important to me. And to be a World of Outlaws champion. I feel like we’re more than capable of doing that.”

Gravel finished second in points for the third straight year this season and currently sits 10th on the all-time wins list with 88 victories. Thirty of those victories came in his three years with Big Game Motorsports – one being the Huset’s High Bank Nationals and it’s $250,000 payday, which returns in 2024, along with the $100,000 to win Huset’s Hustle the same week (June 19-22).

“WHAT’S REALLY IMPORTANT TO ME AND TOD QUIRING AND BIG GAME MOTORSPORTS IS WINNING THAT WORLD OF OUTLAWS CHAMPIONSHIP.”

He’s picked up several milestone accomplishments throughout his career with the Series, including the Kevin Gobrecht Rookie of the Year title with the World of Outlaws in 2013, the 2019 NOS Energy Drink Knoxville Nationals title and two National Open victories at Williams Grove Speedway (2014 and 2017).

Now, all eyes are on a coveted World of Outlaws title with a chance to become only the 11th different champion in Series history.

“We’re committed to the World of Outlaws right now,” Gravel continued on his show. “We have a great nucleolus of drivers. No matter if Brad is there or not, I feel like we’re going to have a lot of the best teams with us, and the points fund is really strong…

“I still have stuff to prove and want to check that off the list of achievements.”

Gravel will kick off his 2024 season with the World of Outlaws at Volusia Speedway Park during the Federated Auto Parts DIRTcar Nationals, Wednesday-Saturday, Feb. 7-10.
