(Butler Township, Pa. 6-9-25) Evergreen Raceway will be back in action this coming Sunday afternoon, Father’s Day, June 15, with a five-division show headlined by the Tour Type Modifieds.
Joining the mighty Modifieds will be the Harry’s U-Pull-It Street Stocks, Himmer Graphics Four Cylinders, McNultey Funeral Home Novice’s and the INEX Legends.
The initial race for the Tour Type Modifieds, originally scheduled for May 4, was unfortunately cancelled due to inclement weather. Both fans and race teams are eagerly anticipating the upcoming event, as the Modifieds consistently deliver exceptional performances at the 1/3-mile paved oval track.
The Modifieds will be battling in a 50-lap/$2000-to-win feature.
The Street Stocks and Four Cylinders have raced twice thus far and both events have had interesting results.
Ken Erney Jr., and Gordie Buchman have each shared Fairway Chevrolet Victory Lane honors with the Streeters and to somewhat of surprise Cory Derr currently stands as the early season points leader closely shadowed by Bobby Hunsicker Jr.
TJ Kapish has certainly showed that he will be a force to reckon with this year with the Four Cylinders after winning the first two races, but, he’ll have to keep on his toes as Robert McNultey and Michael Wambold have been displaying great speed in keeping close tabs on the current point leader and likewise with Tyler Skordensky who was runner-up to Kapish in the last event held on June 1.
The Novice division will be back on track this Sunday. In the opening race held on May 24, Jeremy Henry collected his first win at Evergreen and heading into Sunday he is the point leader over reigning class champion Sarabeth Mesko.
Adding to all the excellent stock car lineup will be the INEX Legends. This class never ceases to deliver close, thrilling, racing each time they compete here.
Sunday pits will open at 10:30 am and grandstands at noon. Warmups will begin at 12:30 pm and racing starts at 2:00 pm. Pit admission is $40 for all ages. Adult grandstand admission is $15. Kids 12 and under are free.
The following weekend Evergreen Raceway will be on track both Saturday and Sunday, June 28 & 29.
On June 28 the Circle Track Driving Experience will be held from noon to 3:00 pm. Participants can choose to drive or ride along in a Late Model stock car or drive a Modified stocker. The Circle Track Driving Experience is by appointment only and anyone interested should call 570-956-6347 to reserve a time slot.
Driving the Modified it is $15 per lap while the Late Model is $10 per lap. For those wishing to do the Late Model Ride-along the cost is $50 and is for a designated number of laps. Handicap accessible Late Model cars are available.
Also on the 28th there will be an open practice from noon to 4:00 pm. Anyone attending open practice the pits are $25 per person.
The next day, Sunday June 29 at 2:00 pm, the Rich Tobias promoted Action Track USA Summer Slam featuring the All PRO SpeedSTRs, Slingshots, 602 Crate Modifieds, Street Stocks and Four Cylinders will be taking to the track.
