Barre, VT – With the cool air already making its way through the hills and valleys of the Green Mountain State, so too comes the official entry form for the 63rd Vermont Milk Bowl presented by Northfield Savings Bank. Vermont’s greatest racing spectacle returns to Thunder Road Int’l Speedbowl on Sunday, October 5 following the Booth Bros./Hood Milk Qualifying Day on Saturday, October 4. Over $100,000 is available to the Maplefields/Irving Oil Late Model teams during the weekend as these brave drivers contest in the Toughest Short Track Stock Car Race in North America!
It all begins on Saturday, October 4 with Booth Bros./Hood Milk Qualifying Day. Time Trials will set the field for the ‘Triple 50’ Heat Races, each qualifying event hosting its own $4,300 purse to be paid out to the top ten finishers. The fastest car in Time Trials will earn the $1,000 Booth Bros. Pole Award with the second fastest teamster earning $500 as the two set Row #1 for Sunday’s main event.
At the conclusion of three of the most intense 50 lap events of the 2025 season, one driver will stand tall on Sunday, October 5 as the 63rd Northfield Savings Bank Milk Bowl champion with the distinct honor of kissing a genuine Vermont beauty queen! (Only the cutest Ayrshire dairy cow these emerald hills can produce!) Along with the legendary distinction, the winner will pocket at least $12,000 for the triumph but more awaits if conditions are right!
$15,000 in lap money will be distributed among the top three runners in each of the 150-laps that make up the Vermont Milk Bowl while a special, so-far unclaimed, pair of bonuses are also up for grabs. Should the winner earn the perfect score of just three points, they will earn a $10,000 bonus! If they earn four or five points in the cumulatively scored, segment event, tack on an extra $5,000 for their efforts!
With the posted entry blank made available to teams, already defending champion Marcel Gravel and former winners Jason Corliss and Stephen Donahue have made their intentions for another run at Vermont Milk Bowl glory while perennial contender Brooks Clark has also filed. Race fans can expect another pit area packed with international talent from across New England and Quebec, Canada all vying for a chance at the Thunder Road history books.
Thunder Road returns to Thursday racing action for the inaugural Flying Tiger $2,000-to-Win, 100 lap showdown on Vermont Agency of Transportation Night, Thursday September 11. Headlined by the big money showdown for Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tigers, the Maplefields/Irving Oil Late Models, rk Miles Street Stocks and Burnett Scrap Metals Road Warriors are also on the docket with a special 6:00pm Post Time.
