CLAREMONT, N.H. – Nobody was happier in victory lane Friday, April 24, than Tyler Lescord. The popular second generation wheelsman ended an eleven-year winless drought by rocketing to victory in the night’s Outlaw Late Model main event,
Lescord, a 25-year veteran of oval track racing, took the lead on lap 22 of the night’s main event and charged off to his first career Outlaw Late Model feature win. Prior to Friday, his last victory came back in 2015 at Monadnock Speedway.
He was one of three drivers scoring there first win at the Thrasher Road speedplant Friday. Michael Casey earned his first CMP victory lap in the Six Shooters, and Lane Lantas dominated en route to his first in the Ridge Runners.
Other winners on the first night of CMP’s 2026 NASCAR Local Racing Series presented by O;Reilly Auto Parts summer long event series included Chris Riendeau, victorious in the night’s 25-lap Super Street main event, and Gage DIllingham, who topped a swarming 17-car field of Pure Stocks. There were no repeat winners from last weekend’s Spring Fling season opener.
Hot shoe Robbie Streeter started up front in the Asetex Tire & Auto Outlaw Late Model main event, beating Cody Schoolcraft to the stripe by inches as lap one went into the books. Lescord blasted into second on lap two and he and Streeter raced inches apart until Lescord got the better of a lap-22 restart and never looked back.
At the checkers, the potent pair hit the stripe nose-to-tail, with Trevor Rocke – in the mix all night – just behind in third, and Schoolcraft rebounding from a trip pit side for new rubber to claim fourth. Aaron Thompson was fifth in the feature, while Streeter had the dominant ride in the heat race.
Chris Riendeau led all the way to capture the win in the RE Hinkley Fuels Super Street feature, But while he led all 25 circuits around the fast third-mile, he earned every inch of Friday night’s win, as the sleek Super Streets made their 2026 CMP season debut.
Riendeau had first Cody Schoolcraft and then Robert Hagar draped all over him as he held a perfect line all race to score the win. Hagar used his inside-lane spot to take second from Schoolcraft on a lap-16 restart but could advance no further as he settled for second in the two-caution event.
With Hagar two lengths behind Riendeau at the flags, Schoolcraft was just behind, and Daniel Petrowicz and Joe Tetreault rounded out the top five. Hagar impressed earlier with his heat race win.
Gage Dillingham and Travis Handt started up front in the LaValley Building Supply Pure Stock feature and when it was all over, Dillingham still had the top spot. His victory, though, was well earned, as row two starter Carter Conroy was glued to his ride every inch of the way.
Firing from row two, Conroy, a strong second here six days earlier, was locked and loaded in his quest for victory Friday, Dillingham, though, had other plans.
The two raced under a blanket from start to finish, with DIllingham never giving way, as Conroy impressed again with his second runner-up showing in as many weeks. Bay State blaster Jimmy Zellman was strong in third, Handt finished his solid night’s work in fourth, and former track champ Chirs Chambers, victorious six days earlier, charged from row six to earn the five spot.
Michael Casey pitched a perfect game in Friday’s Six Shooter events, first dominating to win his heat race and then outgunning Meghan Bell to score his first career CMP victory in his division’s main event.
Starting up front, Casey led all the way in Friday’s Six Shooter feature. Bell held second from start to finish but could never reel in the speedy Casey, taking the checkers two lengths back in an impressive run. Michel Yeaton, the Six Shooter Spring Fling winner, was mired in traffic early but rebounded to come home third. Steve Miller Jr. and Steve Miller Sr., both former track champs, rounded out Friday’s top five.
Lane Lantas made his JP’s Trucking Ridge Runner maiden voyage one to remember, first romping to a landslide victory in his heat race and then blasting to victory five lengths ahead of Trevyr Young in their 20-lap feature. Ethan Meyette was third on the night, and Green Mountain Boy Konner Janovsky was fourth.
