Wall Township, NJ – One of the crown jewels on the Wall Stadium NASCAR Modified schedule, the 66th Annual Garden State Classic 125 is set for next Saturday, June 13th.
The NASCAR Modifieds will tackle the Wall Stadium high banks for 125-laps of action with the winner taking home $5,000 plus lap and contingency bonus money.
Pete Frazee won the inaugural Garden State Classic back in 1957. Other notable winners of the ‘Granddaddy of Them All’ include Don Stives, Bob Rossell, Gil Hearne, Joe Severage, John Blewett Jr., Charlie Kremer Jr., Charlie Jarzombek, Tony Siscone, Tony Hirschman, Jimmy Spencer, Jamie Tomaino, Tom Mauser, Martin Truex Sr., Tony Siscone, Dave Michel, John Blewett III and many more.
Two of the favorites heading into the event are Jackson, NJ pilots Blake Barney and Steven Reed, Barney captured this event back in 2020 and has won two out of the first three NASCAR Modified feature events held at the Jersey Shore oval thus far in 2026. Reed on the other hand is a four time and defending winner of the Garden State Classic.
Other contenders will sure to be Howell, NJ’s Jimmy Blewett, who is also a four time winner of the event, Toms River, NJ’s Derek Hopkinson who won the 2023 version while drivers such as young James Blewett, Brick, NJ’s Eddie McCarthy, Wall, NJ’s Tyler Ferris, Red Bank, NJ’s Tom Martino Jr., Mayetta, NJ’s Tyler Truex and North Hanover, NJ’s Teddy Cranmer are seeking their first win in the prestigious event.
Plus, you never know what drivers may try and invade to steal the $5,000 away from the Wall Stadium regulars.

Also on the card on June 13th will be the first of three Legends Car Triple Crown Summer Slam events paying $500 to win and $100 to start with a $2,500 point fund. This series is brought to you by Tyspeed, MetJoes Racing, Natural Design Company and Belair Transportation Services.
The ATQMRA TQ Midgets and O’Shea’s Auto Repair Factory Stocks will complete the racing program on June 13th all competing under the NASCAR Local Series banner presented by O’Reilly Auto Parts.
Adult (18+) admission on June 13th is $35, Seniors (65+) and Military w/ID are $30, Kids (7-16) are $20 while Children 6 & Under are Free. Pit Gates will open at 1pm, with grandstands opening at 3pm with racing set for 6pm.
Free camping will also be allowed over the course of the weekend to all who wish to take part.
