CLAREMONT, N.H. — The all-time win leader of the Granite State Pro Stock Series presented by Hudson International Speedway added another notch to his series superlative Friday night.

D.J. Shaw led a caution-free chase around Claremont Motorsports Park to pick up his 13th career GSPSS win and his first series win of 2026.

The Center Conway, N.H. native started first and never looked back from the drop of the green, building a modest advantage over Cory Casagrande and Seekonk Speedway winner Joey Polewarczyk early on.

Casagrande and Polewarczyk kept within sight of the leader, but with the field spread out behind them, there was little to slow Shaw’s torrid pace.

Shaw caught the tail of the field in the run to the checkers, but as he quickly worked lapped traffic, Casagrande could not capitalize to eliminate his deficit.

Instead, Shaw held on for a 2.460-second margin of victory, taking his first win of the year almost a year to the day since his last GSPSS victory.

Claremont has become Shaw’s personal playground, as six of his 13 career GSPSS wins have come at the tricky third-mile.

Casagrande held on for his best finish of 2026 in second. Polewarczyk, the 2020 GSPSS champion, finished third to back up his Seekonk win in his pursuit of the MDP Motorsports Promotions Triple Crown.

GSPSS points leader Jeremy Sorel finished fourth, returning to top-five form after back-to-back tenth-place finishes. Fellow Massachusetts racer Tom Carey III raced his way to a fifth-place finish, his second top-five run this year.

After two Triple Crown events, Polewarczyk leads the provisional standings in pursuit of $5,000 in bonus earnings for the top five points-scoring drivers over the three-race miniseries.

The MDP Motorsports Promotions Triple Crown concludes on Saturday, July 25, as the GSPSS returns to Monadnock Speedway in Winchester, N.H. for its third event in support of the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour.
