Barre, VT – After a monsoon of rain dropped on Thunder Road Thursday afternoon, the grounds of the Nation’s Site of Excitement have become extremely saturated. With the infield nearly underwater, Officials made the choice to postpone Thursday’s event to Friday, July 10 following practice and Bobby Labonte’s autograph session.
Unfortunately, with prior commitments to the NASCAR events at Lime Rock this weekend, Bobby Labonte will not be able to return for tomorrow’s rain-postponed event.
The Friday, July 10 schedule will begin with a 3:00pm Pit Gate opening, 5:00pm start to practice alongside the grandstand opening followed by Post Time at 7:00pm. All those with Rain Check tickets and Pit Passes from Thursday, July 9 will be able to exchange for entry into the Friday, July 10 make-up event.
NESTN.tv Night featuring Twin 100s for the Maplefields/Irving Late Models and Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tigers is now set for Friday, July 10. The rk Miles Street Stocks and the Burnett Scrap Metals Road Warriors join the action for a special Friday Night under the Thunder Road Lights at the Nation’s Site of Excitement with a 7:00pm Post Time!
Grandstands open Friday at 5:00pm with Adult General Admission set at $20, Kids 6-12 are $5 and children five and under are free! The Family Four Pack (two adults, two kids) is also available for $40. All Rain Check tickets and Pit Passes from Thursday, July 9 can be exchanged for the Friday, July 10 make-up event.
