  • The NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour makes its annual trek to New Hampshire Motor Speedway this
    Saturday, Aug. 22 for the running of the Mohegan Sun 100. The event is the 12th race of the 2026
    season.
  • The Mohegan Sun 100 is the 78th NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour event held at New Hampshire Motor
    Speedway dating back to 1990. During that time, 25 different drivers have visited Victory Lane at the track
    known as ‘The Magic Mile.’
  • NASCAR Hall of Famer Mike Stefanik leads all drivers with eight victories at New Hampshire Motor
    Speedway. Tony Hirschman (7), Reggie Ruggiero (6), Bobby Santos III (6) and Ted Christopher (5) are
    the only other drivers with five victories or more.
  • Previous New Hampshire Motor Speedway winners entered in Saturday’s race include Doug Coby, Justin
    Bonsignore, Ryan Newman, Chase Dowling, Anthony Nocella, Ryan Preece and Tyler Rypkema.
    Rypkema is the defending event winner.
  • Doug Coby has made 39 previous New Hampshire Motor Speedway starts during his career, more than
    any other active driver. He has four victories at New Hampshire Motor Speedway during his career.
  • Entering Saturday’s event, Patrick Emerling holds a 13-point lead on Austin Beers in the NASCAR Whelen
    Modified Tour standings. Neither Emerling or Beers have ever won a NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour
    event at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
  • Patrick Emerling leads all drivers this season with three victories. He’s also tied with Austin Beers for the
    most top 10 finishes this season (10). Emerling also leads all drivers with a 4.5 average finish and he’s led
    more laps (348) than any other driver.
  • Despite being winless this year, defending NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour champion Austin Beers is in
    the thick of the title fight thanks to a series best eight top-five finishes and an average finish of 4.7.
  • Matt Hirschman leads all drivers with four American Racer Pole Awards in 11 races this season. This is
    the fourth season in the last five years that Hirschman has won at least three pole awards.
  • Only three drivers – Patrick Emerling, Austin Beers and Eric Goodale – have completed every possible lap
    during the 2026 NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour season.
  • Current NASCAR Cup Series competitor Ryan Preece will make his second NASCAR Whelen Modified
    Tour start of the season Saturday. He previously won in Modified Tour competition at New Hampshire in
  • After missing the last six races of the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour season, Justin Bonsignore will
    return to the series this Saturday afternoon. The three-time New Hampshire Motor Speedway winner will
    carry new sponsorship from Dollar Tree on the No. 51 during the Mohegan Sun 100.
  • For the first time since 2021, Ryan Newman will compete in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour event at
    New Hampshire Motor Speedway. The two-time New Hampshire Modified Tour winner will drive the No. 0
    for team owner Glenn Styres.

  • Three drivers will be attempting double-duty on Saturday afternoon. Patrick Emerling, Luke Baldwin and
    Mike Christopher Jr. are entered in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at New Hampshire Motor
    Speedway in addition to the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour race on the same day.
