(Butler Township, Pa. 9-13-26) Evergreen Raceway management has made a slight revision to the 25th Annual King of the Green weekend-two.
Race day is being moved to Sunday, November 1, while Saturday, October 31 will be an open practice day.
“When we announced this past week about this year’s King of the Green and the second weekend of the event we received calls about that being Halloween from some of our fans and race teams that they have plans for their kids which is completely understandable,” said Evergreen promoter/owner Jason Makarewicz.
“Much of our business is largely based around family and we don’t want to take away from what that day means to their kids so the logical thing to do was take the race to the next day, plus they let us know they don’t want to miss out on the races either.”
The King of the Green weekend two will see the Tour Type Modifieds, Late Models, Himmer Graphics Four Cylinders, Rotten-and-Forgotten and Factory Stocks hitting the track for the afternoon program. The day prior there will be an open practice from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
Also, Evergreen is pleased to announce that DW Machine & Fabricating Company of Drums has come onboard as a sponsor for the King of the Green Late Model feature.

The first weekend of King of the Green is on Sunday, October 18, with 602 Crate Modifieds, Harry’s U-Pull-It Street Stocks, Rookie 602 Crate Modifieds, McNulty Funeral Home Four Cylinder Novice, East Coast Legends and the East Coast TQ Midgets.
There will be an open practice the day before, Saturday, October 17 from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
Saturday, November 7, will be used as a rain date for both weekends.
Coming up next weekend, Saturday September 19 and Sunday September 20, Evergreen Raceway will be holding daytime events.
On Saturday from noon to 4:00 pm the 570 Redline Outlaws Car Club, a community-focused automotive club based in Drums, will be having their annual show plus there will be the Evergreen Circle Track Driving Experience where fans can either ride-along or drive a race car.

On Sunday afternoon, September 20 at 2:00 pm, the 1/3-mile paved oval will host Tour Type Modifieds, Street Stocks, Four Cylinders, Rotten-and-Forgotten, Rookie 602 Crate Modifieds and the East Coast Legends Series.
