Riverhead Raceway management announced today the registration process for the 10th annual Islip 300 is now open for the Saturday November 14th $12,000 to win spectacular and will be free prior to November 10th. Track management also requests that not only the tour type Modified teams pre-register for the day, but also the Crate Modified, INEX Legend Race Car and Street Stock competitors.
Hard to imagine the Islip 300, the brainchild of the late Eddie Partridge as tribute to the famed Islip Speedway and All-Star Racing League events run at the 1/5th of a mile will celebrate the 10th edition of the race November 14th. From 15-year-old Dillon Steuer’s unlikely upset victory in the inaugural Islip 300 in 2017 then worth $7,000, to Joey Braun’s 2025 victory worth $12,000 last fall, the Islip 300 never fails to disappoint tour type Modified fans. Aside from the winner’s share, track management also disclosed the race will again pay $1,000 to start this year.
Teams can pre-register for the 10th annual Islip 300 with no charge by visiting www.riverheadraceway.com and follow the links. A $100 late fee will be applied to entries after November 10th. Since its inception the Islip 300 has been open to all tour type Modified competitors from the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour, Monaco Tri-Track Series, Race of Champions and Modified Racing Series with teams able to declare and follow the rules package from one of the four series in their entirety. The Riverhead Raceway Hoosier Racing Tire track tire rules will be followed for the Islip 300.
“We are asking for all teams running the Islip 300 program to pre-register, whether you’re running the 300 or one of the supports classes, that allows us to put together a parking plan, make sure our tire inventory is sufficient, and plan a race day itinerary without any surprises” track GM John Ellwood explained.
