(Stafford Springs, CT)—The Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series came to Stafford Motor Speedway on Friday, October 2nd for the rescheduled NAPA Fall Final Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series feature that was part of NAPA Champions Night at Stafford.  Jon McKennedy put in a dominating driver over the 80 lap race distance to score the victory and take home the $10,000 payday.

The race took the green flag with Teddy Hodgdon taking the early lead from polesitter Kyle Bonsignore.  Bonsignore ran second for the first 2 laps but gave way to Jon McKennedy on lap-3.  Noah Korner was fourth behind Hodgddon, McKennedy, and Bonsignore with Ron Silk fifth.  The caution came out with 7 laps complete as George Bessette, Jr. and Joey Cipriano came together in turn 2 with Bessette climbing up and over the left side of Cipriano’s car.

Back under green McKennedy powered his way into the lead around the outside of Hodgdon.  Hodgdon and Korner were now side by side for second with Kyle Bonsignore and Tyler Chapman side by side for fourth place.  With 15 laps complete McKennedy held the lead with Hodgdon, Korner, Chapman, and Ronnie Williams lined up behind him.  Silk was sixth with Kyle Bonsignore, Matt Hirschman, Chase Dowling, and Michael Christopher, Jr. making up the top-10.

Matt Hirschman moved up to seventh place on lap-25 while McKennedy continued to hold the lead with Hodgdon, Korner, Chapman, and Williams giving chase.  Hirschman’s move brought Christopher with him up to eighth place and dropped Bonsignore back to ninth.

At the halfway point of the race the running order was McKennedy, Hodgdon, Korner, Williams, Chapman, Silk, Christopher, Hirschman, Kyle Bonsignore, and Justin Bonsignore.  The caution flag came out with 46 laps complete for debris on the track.  Under the caution flag all the lead lap cars came to pit road where they could change 1 tire and make adjustments on their cars.  The race off pit road was won by Hodgdon followed by Williams, Silk, McKennedy, Justin Bonsignore, Kyle Bonsignore, Hirschman, Tyler Chapman, Christopher, Steven Chapman, Chase Dowling, and Brett Meservey.

Hodgdon brought the field back to green and he took the lead with Williams hanging on his outside for a lap before slotting into second.  McKennedy took second from Williams on lap-48 with Silk following him by to take third and drop Williams back to fourth with Kyle Bonsignore back up to fifth.  Justin Bonsignore was sixth with Christopher, Tyler Chapman, Hirschman, and Dowling making up the top-10.

With 20 laps to go McKennedy was still in command with Hodgdon, Silk, Williams, and Kyle Bonsignore making up the top-5.  Christopher was sixth followed by Tyler Chapman, Hirschman, Meservey, and Justin Bonsignore.  The caution flag flew with 71 laps complete as Tyler Chapman spun in the middle of turns 3+4 after touching wheels with Hirschman.  Hirschman was sent to the rear of the field for the contact with Chapman.

McKennedy took the lead on the restart with Hodgdon in second and Silk in third but Hodgdon did a half spin on lap-72 and fell back outside the top-10 as Silk went by t take second.  Williams was now third with Kyle Bonsignore and Austin Beers making up the top-5.

Silk couldn’t get close enough to McKennedy to make a bid for the lead as McKennedy took the checkered flag to win the NAPA Fall Final.  Kyle Bonsignore finished third behind McKennedy and Silk with Williams and Beers rounding out the top-5.
