SEEKONK, Mass. — The Tri Track Open Modified Series is heading to Vermont for the first time. In 2022, the series will roll to Thunder Road Speedbowl on Memorial Day Classic weekend, set for a 100-lap, $10,000 to win Granite State Capital 100 on Sunday, May 29.

It’s the first date confirmed for the 2022 Tri Track season — one that is again expected to cover multiple tracks and states.

“Wayne Darling, myself and the entire Tri Track Open Modified Series staff and teams are excited to be heading to this iconic race track for 2022,” Ed Bennett, Managing Partner of the Tri Track Open Modified Series, said. “We are looking forward to visiting Vermont and showcasing Modified racing to their dedicated fan base.”

The entire Thunder Road staff is also excited to have Tri Track as part of their special Memorial Day event. It will be the first Tour-type modified race at Thunder Road in many years.

“We’re thrilled to have Tri Track and the Tour-type Modifieds coming to Barre,” Thunder Road managing partner Cris Michaud said. “This past year, we’ve gotten to work with Tri Track at Thompson Speedway as they’ve helped us with the Outlaw Open Modified Series. They have a great group of people running Tri Track, and their events draw the biggest names in the Modified ranks, so you know the racing will be top-notch. It’s going to be a can’t-miss show to unofficially kick off the summer racing season.”

A full schedule for the 2022 Tri Track Open Modified Series season will be released in the coming weeks.
