WESTMINSTER, Mass. – For the third time this season, Sam Rameau will compete with the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series this Wednesday night. Ready to roll for a mid-week event in Massachusetts, Seekonk Speedway will host a $10,000 to win, 100-lap race and Rameau is heading there looking for the cash.

The Westminster, Massachusetts, native was off last weekend but is coming off a strong weekend of racing in the middle of June. Rameau finished third at Claremont Motorsports Park in the Whitcomb 5 Series event and also finished fourth in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Duel at the Dog 200 on June 19.

Rameau doesn’t have a previous win at Seekonk and would like to change that on Wednesday night.

“Seekonk is one of the toughest tracks around and there is no doubt about it,” Rameau said. “We would love to turn things around there and get to the front of the field, especially in such a big race like Open Wheel Wednesday, with $10,000 on the line. We’re looking forward to giving it our best shot and coming out with a strong run for all of our team.”

Seekonk’s race day schedule includes practice from 3:45-4:30 p.m., qualifying heats at 6 p.m. and the green flag for the 100-lap race around 8:30 p.m. All tickets are available at the track on race day or in advance at SeekonkSpeedway.com. FloRacing.TV will air the event live for those who can’t make it to the track.
