The next race on the schedule for Mountain Creek Speedway will be August 27th and 28th. The five and half week break is going to allow the staff and management to regroup after two rain outs and scheduling changes. During this time rescheduling changes will be made for races #4 and #6 and improvements for reinforcing and metal plating the speedway retaining walls.
“This break is going to help us,” said track owner and promoter, Adam Stewart. We’ve got a few improvements we’re making to the walls and figuring out dates later this season for our point shows.” In the past two years the track has been taking steps to enhance the racing experience for the competitors and fans. Some of the most recent additions have been paving the staging area, building a bigger observation deck, victory lane video production and adding live streaming this season on www.mountaincreekspeedway.tv on the SPEED SPORT platform. “It’s a breather to iron out additions and events coming down the pike as we get into the second half of the season. Said Mountain Creek Speedway public relations director, Derek Pernesiglio. “The time off will help us work out these topics with a bigger deadline time.”
When the track isn’t racing, it’s busy Monday through Friday with testing and practice sessions for everything from flat karts to national midgets. The track will also be available for testing and practice days throughout the year. Those wishing to reserve rental or testing days can contact Jason Queen at (828)413-6890 for details and availability.
