Seekonk Speedway is ready to roar back to life this weekend with a triple-header of action, including Fast Friday, NASCAR Saturday and the first Monster Trucks show of the season on Sunday.

Fast Friday returns with five divisions, while NASCAR Saturday has four, and the Monster Trucks on Sunday includes the thrills and spills of the monsters around the Seekonk third-mile, an event fans will not want to miss.

The Monster Trucks return on Sunday for their first of two shows for 2023. The show begins at 2 p.m., and includes the East Coast Towing Spectator Drags along with multiple Trucks including Stinger Unleashed, Shock Wave and more. It’s the perfect way to spend Father’s Day with your family, especially for the kids.

Sunday’s Monster Truck show will include a free pit party for Monster Trucks and Spectator Drags from 11:30-1:30 p.m.

Saturday’s racing will be held with Youth Sports Night and Military Night at the track. All youth sports teams are encouraged to join Seekonk Speedway in celebrating the summer season at the races, while Military Night, rescheduled from the May 20 rainout, will give teams and fans the chance to honor those who have been lost serving our great country and those who continue to serve.

The Pro Stocks are back for just their third race of the season Saturday night, this time the first round of the Everett’s Auto Parts Triple Crown Series, set for 60 laps. It’s been one year since Mike Brightman held off Dave Darling in a thrilling finish to the Pro Stock Triple Crown, and he will be back on track looking to do the same this week. Names like current points leader and defending champion Mark Jenison, winner Dylan Estrella, Rick Martin, Tommy Adams and more will contest the main event at the end of a full night of racing.

Prior to the Pro Stocks, the Helger’s South Coast Power Equipment Sportsman will hit the track for their fourth race of 2023, with Steve Axon coming off a second straight victory in a wild finish with Chad Baxter. The two raced side-by-side to the finish, inches apart last week in their Triple Crown opener. Baxter has yet to win in the first three events, and will be a favorite for this week along with Adam Pettey, who has three podium finishes in three races. The full division lineup is set for 25 laps.

The Chaz Auto Body Sport Trucks also is a division with one driver coming off two straight wins. Jake Vanada picked up the victory in the 35-lap Triple Crown opener last week, just about one month after winning race two of the season. Rick Martin and Mike Duarte have been impressive in the Trucks so far, finishing inside the top-five in both races.

And in the Late Models, former Legends Cars champion Luke Lebrun looks to make it two straight. Names like Jacob “Rowdy” Burns, Vinnie Arrenegado, Chase Belcher, Connor Souza, Richie Murray and many others will compete in a 30-lap feature on Saturday night.

One more thing of note about Saturday — Seekonk Speedway will open the pit area to race fans at the conclusion of practice each week. Fans can come into the pit area and walk around and meet their favorite drivers before leaving the pits after the driver meeting in time for racing to begin.

Fast Friday is coming off a rainout and back with a full card of five divisions on tap, including two Everett’s Auto Parts Triple Crown Series races. The Sport 4’s and Pure Stocks will go the extra-distance, both for 30 laps. In the Sport 4’s, Mikey LeFort and Jarrod Freitas have been to Victory Lane, with names like Crystal Murray, Taylor Bowser, Richie Johnson and others off to good starts with top-five runs. The Pure Stocks are all chasing Scott Cestodio, who won both of their first two events. Names like Mike Henriques, Danny Massa, Greg Perry, Ethan Souza, Nick Brightman and others have also shown plenty of speed.
